Regulations under the Naval Defence Act, 1913, amended

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of
November, 1945
Present :
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf,
His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Execu-
tive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations
referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.

Regulations for the Government and Payment of the Royal New
Zealand Navy, 1939

APPENDIX III.—SUBSTANTIVE RATES OF PAY : NAVAL RATINGS
AND ROYAL MARINES

SUBJECT to the provisions of Article 130 of these regulations and
Navy Order 221, the following shall be the daily rates of pay of the
ratings indicated with effect from 1st November, 1942 :—

ARTICLE 107, paragraph 1 : Cancel and substitute (with effect from
30th June, 1944) :—

  1. Marriage Allowance and Removal Allowance.—The following
    are the rates of Marriage Allowance payable to married officers :—

(a) Officers of twenty-five or more years of age:—

Captain, R.N. (and Relative Ranks). Per Diem. s. d. Commanders, R.N., Lieutenant-Commanders, R.N., Lieutenant, R.N., Lieutenant from Warrant Rank (and Relative Ranks). Per Diem. s. d. Warrant Officers, Commissioned Officers from Warrant Rank, Sub-Lieutenants, and Acting Sub-Lieutenants. Per Diem. s. d.
Wife Allowance (without children) 6 0 5 0 3 6
Wife Allowance (with child or children) 6 6 5 6 4 0
Children's Allowance—
For first child 2 0 2 0 1 6
For each additional child 1 0 1 0 1 0

(b) Officers under twenty-five years of age :—

    Officer of satisfactory evidence of marriage, Marriage Allowance
    shall be payable to ratings at the following rates :—
