IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint—
His Worship the Mayor of Oamaru, ex officio,
The Deputy Mayor of Oamaru, ex officio,
The Chairman of the Oamaru Borough Reserves Committee, ex
officio,
The Chairman of the Waitaki County Council, ex officio,
The President of the North Otago Automobile Association, ex

The Member for the Moeraki Riding of the Waitaki County, ex

County Council Chambers, Oamaru, as the place where, the first
meeting of the Board shall be held.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—GLENCOE DOMAIN
ALL that area containing 137 acres and 32 perches, more or less,
being closed road 1482R, and Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 4745, Otago
Registry, Block VIII, Otepopo Survey District: Bounded towards
the north by Section 15, 3809·3 links; towards the north-east
generally by a public road, a closed road, a public road, a closed
road, and a public road, 1279·2 links, 298·4 links, 3536·1 links,
176·8 links, and 1580·3 links respectively; towards the east by
Lot 2 aforesaid, Plan 4745, 541·3 links, across a public road, and
towards the north-east by that road, 1107·4 links; towards the
south-east by Section 51, 922·1 links; towards the south-west by
north branch of Waianakarua River, 425 links; across a public
road and towards the south-east and south-west by said river,
7900 links; and again towards the south-west by Sections 17 and
18, 2620·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S 1/1033A, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,

to erect Electric Lines across a Public Road in the Riwaka Road
District

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by
the Public Works Act, 1928, and of any other powers enabling
him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and with
the consent of the licensee, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council
dated the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 68
of the twenty-third day of the same month, authorizing Joseph
William Duncan, of Umukuri, to erect electric lines across a public
road in the Riwaka Road District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose
for which it was acquired.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 1 acre
0 roods 0·4 perches.
Being Section 121 and part Section 120, Block VI, City of Nelson.
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31524, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged
green.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £12,000 by the South
Canterbury Catchment Board and prescribing the Conditions
thereof

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the South Canterbury Catchment Board (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to
the provisions of section thirty of the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Act, 1941, to raise a loan of twelve thousand pounds
(£12,000), to be known as “Administration Loan No. 2, 1945”
(hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of paying
administration expenses:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section
eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out
in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all
other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby
consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan
for the said purpose up to the amount of twelve thousand pounds
(£12,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as
follows:—
(1) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said
loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the
lender a rate exceeding three pounds fifteen shillings (£3 15s.) per
centum per annum.
(2) The said loan or any part thereof shall be repaid on or prior
to the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-eight.
