"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that MAURICE VINCENT BATES, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

HOWICK TOWN BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Special Loan : Waterworks

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting held in the Board Room, Picton Street, Howick, on Thursday, 8th November, 1945, the following resolution was passed :—

"In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Howick Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £18,810, authorized to be raised by the Howick Town Board by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing waterworks to improve the water-supply of the Town District of Howick, the said Howick Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 17/20ths of one penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Town District of Howick ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes, under provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, a forest plantation—and for the purposes of such public works the land described hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bank Street, Whangarei.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of each of the parcels of land required to be taken : 1 acre 2 roods 33·8 perches.

Being part Raumanga No. 2 Block on D.P. 251.

Situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District, Registration District of Auckland, Borough of Whangarei (S.O. plan 33567).

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

NOTICE is hereby given that GIBSONS AND PATERSON, LIMITED, has changed its name to GIBSONS & PATERSON (OVERSEAS), LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.
