Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture of Agar

A. C. Nottingham and Son, Ltd., 146-152 Madras Street, Christchurch, has applied for a license to manufacture agar from seaweed.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

W. B. P. Short, corner of Bowhill Road and Osborne Terrace, New Brighton, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from four petrol pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises situated at the above address.

Kean and Weddell, Ltd., Ema Street, Te Aroha, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two petrol pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at the corner of Kenrick and Lipsey Streets, Te Aroha.

L. E. Perry, Mapua, Nelson, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises at Mapua.

A. E. Welsh, Main Road, Makara, Wellington, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at the store premises, Makara.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 6th December, 1945, to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and included in the Reu Reu Development Scheme.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of Memorandum of Lease 8217 of Lot 9, Deposited Plan 7885, part Suburban Sections 2 and 3, Borough of Geraldine, part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 121, folio 1 (Canterbury Registry); whereof GEORGE FREDERICK LYONS, of Geraldine, Accountant, is the registered lessee, together with an application to register a surrender of the said lease, I hereby give notice of my intention to register such surrender of lease dispensing with production of the outstanding duplicate at the expiration of fourteen days from 22nd November, 1945.
