Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV,
Matakohe Survey District—viz., Deviations of the Dargaville-
Maungaturoto Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of
a road desired to be constructed over Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV,
Matakohe Survey District—viz., deviations of the Dargaville-
Maungaturoto Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth
in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the Dargaville-Maungaturoto Main
Highway at its junction with Smith’s Canal Road, approximately
8 chains eastward of the 19-mile mark, and proceeding thence in
an easterly direction generally for a distance of 8 miles 72 chains,
and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz. :
Lot 4, D.P. 26516, being parts of Sections 1 and 1A, Block XIII,
Matakohe Survey District, C.T. 159/191 ; Lot 3, D.P. 26516, being
portion of Sections 1 and 1A, Block XIII, Matakohe Survey District,

south-western boundary adjoining the Dargaville-Maungaturoto
Main Highway, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands,
reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses ;
all in the North Auckland Land District. As the same is more
particularly delineated on a plan marked P.W.D. 122192, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red and marked A-B, B-C, C-D.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of November 1945.

City of Wellington

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril
Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for buildings of the General
Government ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of November, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-five.

coloured as above mentioned.
