Result of Poll for Proposed Loan
Wellington, 1st November, 1945.
THE following notice, received by the Minister of Finance from the Chairman, Waitemata County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA
IN pursuance of the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Swanson and District Special-rating Area of the County of Waitemata, taken on the 20th day of October, 1945, on the proposal that the Waitemata County Council should advance, under the provisions of section 45 of the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), the sum of £1,500 for the purpose of acquiring the Swanson Hall, the result of the voting was as follows:—
Votes.
The number of votes for the proposal was .. .. 77
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 122
Informal votes .. .. .. .. 3
I therefore declare the proposal lost.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES
EVIDENCE of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of renewable lease, registered as Vol. 635, folio 80, of the Register-book (Auckland Registry), for Section 18, Block V, Mangonui Survey District, whereof His Majesty the King is the lessor and WILLIAM PETER ANSO, of Otahuhu, Farmer, is the lessee, having been lodged with me together with an application to register a surrender of the said renewable lease, Vol. 635, folio 80, without production of the outstanding copy thereof in terms of section 40 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, notice is hereby given of my intention to register such surrender after fourteen days from 8th November, 1945.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a public road—for which purpose the following lands require to be taken by the said Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, that is to say:—
(1) All that piece of land containing 2 acres 2 roods 2·8 perches, more or less, being part Section 3, Block VI of the Maungatautari Survey District; as the same is delineated coloured red on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland as No. 32478.
(2) All that piece of land containing 16·4 perches, more or less, being part Lot 3 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 12622, being part Maungatautari No. 4H Section 8 Block, situated in Block VI, Maungatautari Survey District; as the same is delineated coloured orange on the aforesaid plan No. 32478.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.
