NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee has filed in the Supreme Court an election to administer in respect of the several estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations (so far as known) are hereunder set forth :—

AS in previous years, cards were sent out by post to grain-growers and to potato-growers throughout the Dominion asking them to state what areas they had sown or planted, or intended to sow or plant, in wheat, oats, barley, and potatoes this season. It may be well to note that only holdings of 1 acre and over outside borough boundaries are covered by the figures appearing below. In the case of potatoes a fair amount is grown on the smaller holdings and on holdings situated within boroughs.

Taking of Fish for Sale
Andrew Summers, The Mall, Mount Maunganui, has applied for a license to operate his 32 ft. 14 h.p. vessel “Tere” (not yet registered), using set-net, drag-net, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tauranga.
I. Johnston, 6 Tasman Street, Nelson, has applied for a license to permit her to operate her 28 ft. 25 h.p. vessel “Shamrock” (not yet registered), using long lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Havelock.
Vincent Heinemann, P.O. Box 50, Paihia, has applied for a license to operate his 18 ft. 3 h.p. vessel “Lady Flo” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Opua.
H. A. Scott, Waikowhai Park Road, Mount Roskill, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 15 ft. boat “Fisho” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Waikowhai Beach.
N. A. Letts, Waiotemarama, Hokianga, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 24 ft. vessel “Spray” (not yet registered), using set-nets and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Opononi.
E. T. G. Reece, Hastie Avenue, Mangere, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate a 25 ft. 20 h.p. vessel (to be purchased), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Onehunga.
Manufacture of Footwear
Wm. Brundson and Co., Ltd., Egmont Street, Wellington, have applied for an extension of their existing license to permit the use of the cemented process in the manufacture of slippers.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
H. J. Holmes has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two petrol pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at corner of Ruffles and Great South Roads, Te Rapa.
H. B. Hutchinson and F. A. Knight have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from three petrol pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises situated at corner of Queen and Court Streets, Waiuku.
A. S. B. Wilkinson, 19 Argentine Avenue, Miramar, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from petrol pumps to be installed at service-station premises situated at corner of Hutt Road and Victoria Street, Petone.
W. A. Boaz, Walton Street, Whangarei, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from petrol pumps to be installed at proposed service-station premises situated at corner of Robert and John Streets, Whangarei, such pumps to be transferred from the premises of Lifebuoy Rubber Co., Ltd.
H. G. Walles, Centennial Avenue, Alexandra, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage situated at Centennial Avenue, Alexandra.
R. J. Roycroft, 80 Aitken Avenue, Mission Bay, Auckland, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises situated at Rangiriri.
Whitford Erson Motors, Ltd., have applied for a permission to transfer the company’s motor-spirits retail license from present premises situated at Hood Street, Hamilton, to new premises at the corner of Thackery and Anglesea Streets, Hamilton.
A. E. Harland has applied for permission to transfer his motor-spirits retail license from present premises situated at Grey’s Avenue, Auckland, to a new site at 214 Hobson Street, Auckland.
J. E. N. Parsons and R. E. R. Blythen have applied for permission to shift one petrol pump from its present position inside garage premises situated at 1 Wynyard Street, Devonport, to a new site between the building and footpath alignment.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 22nd November, 1945, to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
