Commissioner of the Supreme Court appointed
ELLIOTT WHITFIELD MILLS, Esquire, of Adelaide, in the State of South Australia, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers, G.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of South Australia under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Appointment of Officer for the Purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908

Minister of Marine, it is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed Edward Reginald Hone, of Kawhia, to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Auckland Acclimatization District.

Minister of Marine, it is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed George Friend, of Invercargill, and Eric Herman, of Invercargill, to be officers for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Southland Acclimatization District.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in pursuance of section 46 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, to increase the total number of members of the Ormondville Domain Board from five to seven, and to appoint Ernest Wilfred Hyde and Leo Vernon Brooks as the additional members thereby rendered necessary.

Notice of Intention to take a Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land in Block X, Mata Survey District, for Soil-conservation Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from His Majesty the King by Ernest Norman Hubert Joblin, of Tokomaru Bay, Farmer, under section 4 of the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, 1915 (Crown Lease, Volume 8L, folio 63, Gisborne Land Registry), for soil-conservation purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tokomaru Bay and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the leasehold estate or interest should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said leasehold estate or interest, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 195 acres 2 roods.

Notice respecting Proposed Constitution of Borough of Papatoetoe
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 7th November, 1945.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted as the Borough of Papatoetoe. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution of such borough which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Manurewa Parish, bounded commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of Portage Road at the south-western corner of Lot 13 on D.P. 9822, in a north-easterly direction generally along the south-eastern side of Portage Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 27 on D.P. 9822; thence along a right line across Portage Road to a point bearing 115° 49' and distant 39.53 links from the south-western corner of Lot 13 on D.P. 20144; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 13 aforesaid and along the north-eastern side of Buckland Road for a distance of 700.47 links to a point on the south-western boundary of Lot 7 on D.P. 20144;
