Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register

Mining Registrar’s Office, Greymouth, 18th October, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, that, unless sufficient cause be shown to the contrary, the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register at the expiration of one month from the date hereof.

In pursuance of the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, public notice is hereby given that the poll taken on Saturday, the 13th day of October, 1945, on a proposal to raise a special loan of £8,000 for street-improvement works, resulted as follows :—

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

W. D. Burk, 24 Harrington Street, Port Chalmers, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Lily,” DN. 363, so as to permit him to operate the 34 ft. 8 h.p. vessel “Dawn” (not yet registered), using long-lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Port Chalmers.

R. Zame, 226 Harris Street, Gisborne, has applied for a variation in the terms of his industrial fishing license relating to the “Taupo,” GS. 125, so as to permit him to operate in its place a new vessel to be built, 52 ft. in length, 100 to 120 h.p., using trawl-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Gisborne.

C. F. Snell, Opotiki, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Sea Queen,” TA. 169, using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Opotiki.

N. M. Nix, “Waipoto,” Featherston, Wairarapa, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 17 ft. vessel “Waipoto” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Lake Ferry.

H. E. Donaldson, care of V. Clements, Matapouri, North Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 21 ft. 14 h.p. vessel “Patsy” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and cray-fish pots, catches to be landed at Matapouri and Whananaki,

Kenneth J. Braid, Port Chalmers, has applied for a variation of his license in respect of the “Echo,” DN. 25, so as to permit him to use his 45 ft. 40 h.p. vessel “Te Kainga” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Port Chalmers.

T. B. Stacey, Whangatoura, Port Underwood, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. vessel “The Dove” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Blenheim.

Manufacture of Wooden Heels

G. N. Raymond (N.Z.), Ltd., 35-7 Ghuznee Street, Wellington, has applied for a license to manufacture wooden heels.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

John, Margaret Cecelia, and Vernon Edward William Monk have applied for permission to transfer the motor-spirits retail license in respect of one petrol pump installed at store premises situated at Great South Road, Melville, to proposed new service-station premises situated at the junction of Pembroke Street and Ohaupo Road, Hamilton.

Alfred Vincent Anderson and Eric Robert Anderson have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from petrol pumps to be installed on premises being erected at Great South Road, Penrose.

Gilbert Jack Daniel and Thomas Alexander Daniel have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at proposed service-station premises situated at the corner of Rauparaha Street and Te Moana Road, Waikanae Beach.

Thomas Morrison Moore has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed inside garage premises situated at 127 Peterborough Street, Christchurch.

Ernest Batstone has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed inside garage premises situated at 17 Dorset Street, Christchurch.

David Ronald Selwyn Melville, care of J. W. Winter, Te Aroha, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at proposed garage premises situated at Manawaru.

A. Fraser has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises situated at 237 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North.

Jack Mervyn Gould has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump installed inside garage premises situated at Paraparaumu Beach.

L. W. Owen has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at Horotiu.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 15th November, 1945, to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
