The Mataura Milk District Constitution Order 1945

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of September, 1945

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Mataura Milk District Constitution Order 1945.

  2. The Borough of Mataura is hereby constituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act, 1944, as from the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, with the name of the “Mataura Milk District”.

  3. The Milk Authority of the said milk district shall be the Mataura Borough Council.

The Government Railways (Staff) Amending Regulations 1945

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.


REGULATIONS

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Government Railways (Staff) Amending Regulations 1945, and shall be read together with and form part of the regulations made under the Government Railways Act, 1908, on the 12th day of June, 1922, and published in the Gazette on the 15th day of the same month at page 1583, as the same are enuring under the Government Railways Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the principal regulations).

  2. Regulation 16 of the principal regulations as amended by the regulations made under the Government Railways Act, 1908, on the 8th day of June, 1925, and published in the Gazette on the 11th day of the same month at page 1874, and by the regulations made under the Government Railways Act, 1926, on the 17th day of December, 1938, and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of the same month at page 2814, is amended—

(a) By revoking the figures and word “15 to 16” next following the words “as an apprentice” and substituting the figures and word “15 to 17”:

(b) By adding at the end thereof the following proviso: “Provided further that, in special circumstances, the age at entry of an apprentice may be extended by the General Manager at his discretion.”

  1. In respect of any probationer (other than an apprentice) who is a discharged serviceman within the meaning of Part I of the Rehabilitation Act, 1941, and whose application for employment in the Department is made within a period of one year from the date of coming into force of these regulations or from the date he lawfully ceased to serve as a serviceman, whichever date is the later, the age at entry as limited by Regulation 16 of the principal regulations amended as aforesaid may be extended by the General Manager at his discretion.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.


SCHEDULE

Regulations for the Government and Payment of the Royal New Zealand Navy, 1939

ARTICLE 194: Cancel and substitute:—

Gunnery, Torpedo and Electrical, W/T Communications, Radar Improvements, and Air Observation Funds.—Grants are payable at the rates and under the conditions laid down in King’s Regulations and Admiralty Instructions.

SUBJECT to the provisions of Article 130 of these regulations and Navy Order 221, the following shall be the daily rates of pay in the branches indicated:—

  • The consequent adjustments in the accounts of men eligible as at 26th October, 1944, for increases of pay are to be antedated to the date on which the qualifying period of man’s time was completed.

NOTE.—The above rates have been increased by 1s. per diem with effect from 30th June, 1944, in conformity with the general increase in pay and allowances granted in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
