Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, Stratford and Ohura Counties, containing by admeasurement 1,053 acres, more or less, and described as follows:—

All that area containing 600 acres, more or less, being Sections 12, 13, and 14, Block I, Taurakawa Survey District. (S.O. plan 921.)

Also all that area containing 453 acres, more or less, being Subdivision 2 of Section 2, Block VII, Aria Survey District. (S.O. plan 7000.)

As the same are more particularly delineated on plans Nos. 52/13 and 70/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of September, 1945.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection three of section seventeen of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby appoint—

William Fredrick Hunter Stone, Esquire, of Invercargill, Secretary,

to be the deputy on the Southland Land Sales Committee of David Grindlay, Esquire, a member of that committee; and doth also appoint—

Joseph Albert Beck, Esquire, of Kauana, Farmer,

to be the deputy on the said committee of John James Lynch, Esquire, a member of that committee.

The Balclutha Milk District Constitution Order 1945

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of September, 1945

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Balclutha Milk District Constitution Order 1945.

  2. Those parts of New Zealand consisting of the Borough of Balclutha and parts of Clutha and Bruce Counties, described in the Schedule hereto, are hereby constituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act, 1944, as from the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, with the name of the “Balclutha Milk District”.

  3. The Milk Authority of the said district shall be the Balclutha Borough Council.

  4. The Clutha and the Bruce County Councils shall each be entitled to have one representative on the Milk Committee of the Balclutha Borough Council, and from time to time shall be entitled to nominate one person each for that purpose.

  5. The Balclutha Borough Council shall from time to time appoint to the Milk Committee of the Borough Council the two persons nominated by the Clutha and Bruce County Councils pursuant to clause four hereof.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area, being the Borough of Balclutha and parts of Clutha and Hillend Survey Districts, commencing at the northern corner of Section 13, Block XXXV, Clutha Survey District; thence easterly generally by the boundary of the Borough of Balclutha to the Main South Road; thence north-easterly and easterly along that road and Benhar Road to the south-eastern corner of Section 8, Block I, Hillend Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of said Section 8 for a distance of 2500 links; thence south-easterly by a right line, at a right angle to the said south-eastern boundary, to the railway reserve; thence south-westerly along that reserve to the boundary of North Molyneux Survey District; thence north-westerly and south-westerly by that boundary to a railway reserve; thence north-westerly along that reserve to the boundary of the Borough of Balclutha; thence south-westerly generally along that boundary to Lot 24, Rosebank Estate; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of said Lot 24 to its south-eastern corner; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of said Lot 24 to a road, across that road; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 11, 9, and 7, Block XXXIII, Clutha Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of said Section 7; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of said Section 7 to the north-western boundary of D.P. 2900; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the south-eastern corner of Lot 4, Rosebank Estate; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lots 4, 3, and 2, Rosebank Estate, to a road; thence north-easterly along that road to the Main South Road; thence south-easterly along the Main South Road to a road forming the north-western boundary of D.P. 2317;
