MARINERS are hereby advised that weather reports are broadcast by radio telephone on a frequency of 1840 kc/s as follows:—

All the stations listed may not be available for every broadcast. The reports will consist of the name of each station followed by the state of the weather, visibility, wind direction to 16 points of the compass, wind force on the Beaufort scale, barometric pressure in millibars, and the state of the sea.

Position: In front of rear beacon. Lat., 36° 49′.2 S.; long., 174° 46′.2 E. (approx.).
Abridged Description: Fog whis.
Details: A fog whistle, with a high-pitched note sounding a continuous series of short blasts, has been established in the above position.

Buoy re-established
Position: Emu Point. Lat., 36° 47′.8 S.; long., 174° 54′.7 E. (approx.).
Details: (1) The northern black buoy has been re-established in a position 094° 8½ cables from the above point.
(2) The southern black buoy has been re-established in a position 117° 7½ cables from the above point.
(3) The red conical buoy has been re-established in a position 129° 6½ cables from the above point.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
L. Martin, 11 Hall Crescent, Waterloo, Lower Hutt, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 15 ft. 3 h.p. vessel (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Wellington.
J. B. Batty, 5 Tiri Road, Milford, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 26 ft. 28 h.p. vessel “Ngawari” (not yet registered), using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Milford.
A. Sayer, 72 Totara Avenue, New Lynn, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. vessel “Pukeko” (not yet registered), using set-nets, catches to be landed at Weymouth.
C. D. Chapman, 31 Queen Street, Onehunga, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 15 ft. fishing-vessel “Nancy” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Onehunga.
A. H. Inteman, 44 Morley Street, New Plymouth, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Spray,” NPH. 34, so as to permit him to operate the 40 ft. 24 h.p. vessel “Valmi” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at New Plymouth.
H. H. Callaghan, P.O. Box 30, Oamaru, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Forward,” OMU. 14, so as to permit him to operate the 36 ft. 33 h.p. vessel “Joan” (to be built), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Oamaru.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
G. A. Coles and Co., Ltd., P.O. Box 5, Upper Symonds Street, Auckland, have applied for an extension of their existing license to permit the machining of uppers in Ngaruawahia.
Manufacture of Gut from Casings
Henry T. Goldsmith, 353 Armagh Street, Christchurch, has applied for a license to manufacture gut from casings.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
Allen Grant Sturge Donald, Motor and General Engineer, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two petrol pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at Maramarua.
Bernard Lynch MacDonald has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two petrol pumps to be installed at proposed garage and service-station premises situated at Longburn.
James Frederick Oed has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump installed at garage premises situated at 199 Wai-iti Road, Timaru, and previously licensed in the name of J. Temple.
Alex. L. Clark has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises situated at 169 King Edward Street, South Dunedin.
Leonard Charles Hooper has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump to be installed at the Domain Camp Store premises, situated at Orewa.
Radio-manufacturing Industry
J. H. Bond, 10 Kohimarama Road, Kohimarama, Auckland, has applied for license to manufacture radio receiving-sets.
P. G. M. Cosgrove, 1 Taunui Street, St. Heliers Bay, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture radio receiving-sets.
L. J. Lawrence, 13 Polygon Road, St. Heliers, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture radio receiving-sets.
E. G. Gibbs, 2 Ruapehu Street, Castlecliff, Wanganui, has applied for a license to manufacture radio receiving-sets.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than 27th September, 1945, to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

The Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1945.—Land-tax payable
IN accordance with Order in Council dated 13th September, 1945, issued under the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1945, I hereby notify that the land-tax leviable under that Act is payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office in one sum on Friday, 28th September, 1945, and that additional tax accrues if not paid by 19th October, 1945. Liability is not suspended by any objection, and tax must be paid by the prescribed date to avoid additional percentage; any overpayment will be refunded.
Demands will be issued on or about 21st September, 1945, and must be presented with all payments. Taxpayers who do not receive an expected demand should notify me.
