Portions of a Public Domain set apart for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Hamilton

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portions of public domain described in the Schedule hereto are hereby set apart for housing purposes; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five.

Crown Land in North Auckland Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CITY OF AUCKLAND

Lot 187 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland: Area, 35·9 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of August, 1945.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Tauranga and Rotorua Counties, containing by admeasurement 104 acres 0 roods 26 perches, more or less, being formerly a road proclaimed as closed by a Proclamation dated the 27th June, 1945, and adjoining or passing through Section 6 and Crown land, Block VI, Section 1A, Block X, and Sections 2, 3, 7, and 9, Block XI, all of Waihi South Survey District, and Sections 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block II, Sections 1 and 2, Block III, and Sections 6, 7, 9, and 10, Block VI, all of Rotoma Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plans No. 31/9 and 31/10, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured green. (Auckland S.O. plans 32378 and 32500.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of August, 1945.

Alteration of Boundaries, Christchurch Drainage District

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be added to and form part of the Christchurch Drainage District; and, with the like powers and authorities, do hereby also declare that the said area shall be added to the Heathcote Subdistrict of the said district.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the County of Heathcote, of the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the intersection of the northern boundary of Lot 1 (now Reserve 4108), on plan deposited in the Canterbury District Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 7811, with the western side of Centaurus Road, being a point on the existing special rating-area boundary of the Christchurch Drainage District (New Zealand Gazette, 1939, page 3489); thence proceeding in a southerly direction generally along the western side of the said Centaurus Road to the south-western corner of Lot 10 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 7826; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of the said Lot 10 to its north-eastern corner; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Lots 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and Lot 1 (now Reserve 4165), on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 7826, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned lot, being a point on the existing special rating-area boundary of the Christchurch Drainage District (New Zealand Gazette, 1944, pages 290–1); thence easterly, northerly, and again easterly along the said special rating-area boundaries to Centaurus Road, the point of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1945.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, on petition in that behalf signed by a majority of the persons qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for any proposed district, constitute and declare any area of land of not less than one thousand acres a rabbit district under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section thirty of the said Act, a petition has been received praying that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act:
