North Mole End.—Lighted Buoy established

Previous Notice: No. 6 of 1945.

Position: North Mole, outer end of stone work. Lat., 45° 46′ 15″ S.; long., 170° 43′ 10″ E. (approx.).

Abridged Description: Occ. R. ev. sec.

Details: A red cylindrical buoy exhibiting an occulting red light every second, eclipse 0·3 second, has been moored in the above position.

Notice to Mariners No. 18 of 1945

SHIPPING METEOROLOGICAL INFORMATION IN AREAS ADJACENT TO NEW ZEALAND

THE attention of mariners is drawn to the existence of a publication NZAP 55 entitled “Shipping Meteorological Organisation in the Areas adjacent to New Zealand.” This details all weather broadcasts likely to be of use to mariners operating between New Zealand and Australia, Fiji, or Samoa, together with times of transmission, frequencies used, contents of broadcasts, codes, &c. Distribution to ships is through the head offices of the companies, to whom application should be made. Other persons interested may obtain copies on request from the Director of Meteorological Services, P.O. Box 722, Wellington C. 1, New Zealand.
