NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders
of E. C. and E. M. Wadsworth, Limited (in Voluntary
Liquidation), will be held at the liquidator’s office, 324 Lambton
Quay, Wellington, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the 18th September, 1945.

Business

  1. To receive the liquidator’s account showing how the
    winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company
    disposed of.
  2. To dispose of the books and records of the company.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership business of builders
carried on at Lower Hutt under the style of “Fraser &
Wood” has been dissolved as from the 15th day of August, 1945,
and the business formerly carried on by the said partnership will
henceforth be carried on by HERBERT FRASER on his own account.

All creditors of the said partnership business are requested to
forward their accounts and any correspondence to L. V. Phillips,
Esquire, care Messrs. Phillips and Fanning, Public Accountants,
Post Office Building, Lower Hutt.

Advertisement of Cancelling

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies
has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act,
1909, by writing under his hand dated this 20th day of August,
1945, cancelled the registry of St. John of the Cross Branch, No. 882,
of the Northern (N.Z.) District of the Hibernian-Australasian
Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 405/12), held at Whakatane,
on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

Notice of Order dispensing with Consents or Conditions of
Amalgamation

NOTICE is hereby given that the Motueka District of the Man-
chester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New Zealand)
Friendly Society, Register No. 312 (7), whose registered office is at
Motueka, desires to amalgamate with the Nelson District of the
Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New Zealand)
Friendly Society, Register No. 312 (3); and that on the 23rd day of
September, 1945, the trustees of the first-named branch intend to
apply to the Registrar that the following consents and conditions
prescribed by the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, for an amalgamation
may be dispensed with, namely:—

(1) The assent of five-sixths in value of members: As the
expense and inconvenience of carrying out such condition
are unnecessary and are not justified by the circumstances.
(2) The written consent of every person for the time being
receiving or entitled to any relief, annuity, or other
benefits: As the rights of such persons are not affected.

was duly passed by the above-named company on the 9th
day of August, 1945:—

“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“2. That Mr. SYDNEY ERNEST HOLAH, of Te Kuiti, be and is
hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

Notice of Order dispensing with Consents or Conditions of
Amalgamation

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson District of the
Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New
Zealand) Friendly Society, Register No. 312 (3), whose registered
office is at Nelson, desires to amalgamate with the Motueka District
of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New
Zealand) Friendly Society, Register No. 312 (7); and that on the
23rd day of September, 1945, the trustees of the first-named branch
intend to apply to the Registrar that the following consents and
conditions prescribed by the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, for an
amalgamation may be dispensed with, namely:—

UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations
of general legislative force are no longer published
in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one
or more of the following arrangements:—

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing)
subscription 30s. per annum in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
25s. (Volumes for years 1940, 1941, and 1942 are
out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in
(1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis,
42s. per annum in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
(5) Loose-leaf binder for filing serial issues, 10s. 6d.;
postage free.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now
with the Government Printer, Wellington. Separate copies
may be purchased at the Chief Post-offices at Auckland,
Christchurch, or Dunedin.


1ST NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, 1914–18

ROLL OF HONOUR published in 1924 by the Defence
Department, giving—

(1) A list of members of the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force killed in action, died of wounds inflicted, of accidents occurring, or disease contracted while on active service.
(2) Those who died after discharge from the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or disease contracted while on active service up to 31st December, 1923.
(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force of New Zealand.
