Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE HAWKE’S BAY RABBIT DISTRICT
FIRSTLY, all that area in the Hawke’s Bay and Auckland Land Districts, situate in the Taupo County, containing approximately 173,000 acres, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the middle-line of the Taharua River with the south-eastern boundary of Tauhara South “A” Block in Block V, Maruanui Survey District; thence north-easterly by a right line to the Rangitaiki River at the crossing of the main Napier–Taupo Road; thence south-easterly by that road to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence generally westerly up the middle of that river to its junction with the Taharua River; thence northerly up the middle of that river to the point of commencement.
Secondly, all that area in the Hawke’s Bay and Wellington Land Districts, situate in Hawke’s Bay, Rangitikei, Waipawa, Waipukurau, and Patangata Counties, containing approximately 1,052,000 acres, and bounded as follows: Commencing at Trig. Station 65A, being a point on the boundary of the Taupo County (New Zealand Gazette 1933, page 12) in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District; thence south-easterly by a right line between the said Trig. Station 65A and Trig. Station H (Don Juan) to the middle-line of the Donald River; thence southerly down the middle of the Donald River to the Tutaekuri River; thence south-easterly down the middle of the Tutaekuri River to the sea; thence easterly and southerly along the sea-coast to the north-eastern corner of Block 40, Mangakuri Crown Grant District, being also the north-eastern corner of the Central Hawke’s Bay Rabbit District; thence in a general westerly direction along the northern boundary of the Central Hawke’s Bay Rabbit District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of the 28th March, 1945, page 343, to a point on the summit of the Ruahine Range due west of the headwaters of Gold Creek; thence northerly along the summit of the Ruahine Range to the south-western boundary of the Hawke’s Bay County; thence north-westerly by a right line to Trig. Station 30 on Aorangi; thence south-westerly by a right line between the said Trig. Station 30 and Trig. Station 32 to the middle-line of the Rangitikei River; thence northerly up the middle of the Rangitikei River to the Taupo County boundary; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the Taupo County (New Zealand Gazette, 1933, page 12) to the point of commencement.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £750 by the Manurewa Borough Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Manurewa Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750) by a loan to be known as “Main Highways Loan, 1945” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of paying its portion of the cost of sealing the Howick–Manurewa Main Highway:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be five (5) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds fifteen shillings (£3 15s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

WHEREAS the Manawatu Catchment Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section thirty of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, to borrow the sum of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) by a loan to be known as “Works Advance Loan, 1945” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of carrying out miscellaneous works:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of seven thousand pounds (£7,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Grey County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes to undertake certain capital works—namely, the construction of flood-protection works—for the benefit of a defined portion of its district, to be known as Taramakau Settlement Special-rating Area:
And whereas the said local authority being desirous, in lieu of raising the moneys by special loan for such works, of advancing the sum required therefor—namely, four hundred and seventeen pounds (£417) (hereinafter called “the said sum”)—out of its General Account, pursuant to the provisions of section forty-five of the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the advancing of the said sum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the advancing by the said local authority out of its General Account, pursuant to the provisions of section forty-five of the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), for the particular benefit of the rate-payers of the said Taramakau Settlement Special-rating Area, of the said sum or any part thereof, and in giving consent doth hereby determine that the moneys so advanced, together with interest thereon, at such rate not exceeding three pounds fifteen shillings (£3 15s.) per centum per annum, as the said local authority shall from time to time determine, shall be recouped to the General Account by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over a period not exceeding eleven (11) years.
