Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

L. Shadgett, Glen Avenue, Papatoetoe, has applied for a license
to permit him to operate a 40 ft. 32 h.p. vessel (to be purchased),
using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots,
catches to be landed at Auckland.

G. C. Young, Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island, has applied for
a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Valmar,”
BF. 27, so as to permit him to operate his fishing-vessel “Zelda,”
DN. 266, using long lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at
Bluff and Half-moon Bay.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

J. Milner, 45 Great North Road, Auckland, has applied for
permission to manufacture women’s and children’s sandals by the
riveted process.

E. A. Green and R. S. Crawford, Station Road, Otahuhu,
Auckland, has applied for permission to manufacture women’s
sports shoes and sandals, sales to be confined to applicant’s own
shop.

Manufacture of Gut from Casings

Slazengers (Aust.) Pty., Ltd., have applied for a license to
commence and to carry on in the above industry.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

P. Vos, Ltd., have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit
from one petrol pump to be installed on a jetty extending from
Hamner Street, Western Reclamation, Auckland.

J. Clark has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from
one petrol pump to be installed at garage premises situated at
99 Grey Street, Hamilton East.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should
make any desired representations in writing not later than the 30th
August, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry,
G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Revoking the Medical Supplies Notice 1942, No. 3, and the Medical
Supplies Notice 1942, No. 4

PURSUANT to the Medical Supplies Emergency Regulations
1939, I, Michael Herbert Watt, Medical Supplies Controller,
do hereby give notice as under :-

  1. The Medical Supplies Notice 1942, No. 3, and the Medical
    Supplies Notice 1942, No. 4,
    and also the Medical Supplies Notice
    1943, No. 3†, and the Medical Supplies Notice 1944, No. 3‡, which
    amended the said notices, are hereby revoked.

  2. The revocation of the said notices shall not affect the liability
    of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before
    the date of this notice.
