contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 294, folio 59 (Canterbury Registry), to and across Port Hills Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of that road to the eastern boundary of Lot 3 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 10809; thence southerly along the said eastern boundary of that lot and the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 5798 to the south-eastern corner thereof; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 1 and Lots 2 and 4 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 8156 to and across Rapaki Road; thence southerly along the western side of that road to the northern boundary of Lot 2 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 9206; thence westerly along the said northern boundary of that lot to and across Vernon Terrace; thence northerly along the western side of that terrace to the southern boundary of Lot 133 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 675; thence westerly along the southern boundary of that lot and across a drain to the south-eastern corner of Lot 100 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 675; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that lot to and across Victoria Street; thence westerly along the northern side of Roscoe Street and its production across Albert Terrace to a point on the existing boundary of the Christchurch Drainage District; thence northerly, south-easterly, and north-easterly generally along that boundary to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 11204; thence proceeding easterly and north-easterly generally along the boundary of the Christchurch Drainage District (as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1943, page 596), to the north-eastern boundary of the Christchurch-Lyttelton Railway Reserve; thence continuing south-easterly along that boundary, it being also the existing boundary of the Christchurch Drainage District aforesaid, to the point of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the East Coast Main Trunk Railway; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 rood 19·6 perches.

Being stopped Government road adjoining or passing through railway land.

Situated in Block IX, Waihua Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.) (S.O. 1177, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98587, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured dark green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of August, 1945.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 11 acres 0 roods 11 perches.

Being part Reserve 1649 (Provisional State Forest).

Situated in Block X, Bruce Bay Survey District (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 4389.)

In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 121783, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of August, 1945.
