THE following results of the elections of members of the Dunedin Metropolitan and Eltham Fire Boards have been reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and are notified in accordance with the rules under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926:-

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 37

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :-

1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 37.

2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

3. The principal Order is varied as follows : The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of the awards specified in the following Schedule.

The Clothing Trade (Millers (Wholesale) Ltd.) Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1942 revoked

PURSUANT to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby revoke, as from the day of the date hereof, the Clothing Trade (Millers (Wholesale) Ltd.) Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1942.

The Ammunition Workers’ (Colonial Ammunition Co., Ltd.) Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1945

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :-

1. This Order may be cited as the Ammunition Workers’ (Colonial Ammunition Co., Ltd.) Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1945.

2. This Order applies to the Colonial Ammunition Co., Ltd., and to workers employed by that company on work coming within the scope of the New Zealand Metal Trades’ Employees’ award dated 30th day of June, 1941, and recorded in 41 Book of Awards 655.

3. The provisions of all Acts and regulations thereunder and of the said award are hereby suspended in so far as such provisions operate to prevent the workers referred to in clause 2 hereof from being employed on the terms and conditions herein set forth.

4. The workers hereinbefore referred to may be employed from Monday to Friday (both days inclusive) of each week from 7.30 a.m. till 12 noon and from 12.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

5. This Order shall come into effect from the day of the date hereof.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 28th day of June, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 13th day of August, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred (100) acres, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 3463, being part Section 38, Block IX, Ngaere Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 87, folio 291 (Taranaki Registry), subject to the easement created in and by Transfer 31552 over the land in certificate of title, Vol. 87, folio 292, appurtenant to the above-described land, and also creating easement over the above-described land appurtenant to the land in certificate of title, Vol. 87, folio 292.

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
