A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the South Island Main Trunk Railway and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a road-diversion in connection therewith.

All situated in Mount Fyffe Survey District (Marlborough R.D.).

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Te Kuiti Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4202)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of July, 1945

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:

And whereas the district known as the Te Kuiti Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:

And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE TE KUITI RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in Waitomo County, of approximately 34,900 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 9, Block XVI, Kawhia South Survey District, and running in an easterly direction generally along the southern boundary of Section 5 of the aforesaid Block XVI, to and across the Hauturu–Putake Road, along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 1A, the eastern boundary of part Section 1B, and the southern boundary of Section 2, all of Block XIII, Orahiri Survey District, to and across Tumutumu Road, along its south-eastern side, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 5 and the southern boundaries of Section 4A, both of Block XIV, Orahiri Survey District, and along the south-eastern boundary of Hauturu East 1E 5C 2D 1 Block, and along the southern boundaries of Pehitawa Nos. 2B 1A, 2B 1B, 2B 2, and 2B 3B 1 Blocks, to the north-eastern corner of Section 14, Block XV, Orahiri Survey District; thence southwards generally along the
