PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, notice has been received that

have been duly elected to be members of the Hunua-Paparimu Bobby Calf Pool Committee established by the said regulations.

Defining Lands in North Auckland Land District to which Water is supplied pursuant to Section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection (5) of section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, the Minister of Lands, hereby give notice that the lands defined in the Schedule hereto are lands to which water is supplied under the said section.


SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Bay of Islands County containing by admeasurement 346 acres and 30 perches, more or less, being Sections 27s, 28s, 29s, 40s, and 53s, Remuera Settlement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/9325A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness my hand at Wellington, this 9th day of July, 1945.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 5th day of June, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 1st day of August, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing twenty-five (25) acres two (2) roods twenty-three (23) perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 2780, part Section 216, District of Waimea East, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol 84, folio 174 (Nelson Registry).

As witness my hand, this 29th day of June, 1945.

Rangitaiki Land Drainage.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 11th July, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance-costs for the period 1st April, 1945, to 31st March, 1946, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on the 30th day of August, 1945, together with the special rates already made and levied.

The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Room 45, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Land Drainage Engineer, at Thornton, near Whakatane, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

Class A.—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed under section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, fourpence and twenty-four one-hundredths of a penny (4·24d.) in the pound.

Class B.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, twopence and eighty-three one-hundredths of a penny (2·83d.) in the pound.

Class C.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and forty-one one-hundredths of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound.

Class D.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class D, forty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (0·47d.) in the pound.

Kaitaia Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 11th July, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rate described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area outside the Kaitaia Town District the general rates described in the Second Schedule, such respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance-costs for the period from the 1st April, 1945, to the 31st March, 1946.

The amount of the general rates, together with the annually recurring special rates already made and levied, will be payable in one sum on the 30th August, 1945.

The valuation roll of the area will be available for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Room 45, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Chief Drainage Engineer, Kaitaia, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

General Rate

On the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District, sixty-six one-hundredths of a penny (0·66d.) in the pound.


SECOND SCHEDULE

RURAL SUBDIVISION

General Rate

Class A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, eighteen-pence and fifty-three one-hundredths of a penny (18·53d.) in the pound.

Class B.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class B, sixpence and forty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (6·49d.) in the pound.

Class C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, twopence and seventy-eight one-hundredths of a penny (2·78d.) in the pound.

Poukawa Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

Wellington, 11th July, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Poukawa Drainage Area, the general rates described in the Schedule hereto, such rates being for the purpose of covering for the period from the 1st day of April, 1945, to the 31st day of March, 1946, the cost of administration of the said Act, including the maintenance of works constructed under that Act in the said area.

The amount of the general rates will be payable in one sum on the 30th day of August, 1945, together with the annually recurring special rates already made and levied.

The valuation roll and rate-book of the area are open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Post Office Building, Napier, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

GENERAL RATES

Class A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the person appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, ninepence and ninety-four one-hundredths of a penny (9·94d.) in the pound.

Class B.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class B, one penny and sixty-six one-hundredths of a penny (1·66d.) in the pound.

Class C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, thirty-three one-hundredths of a penny (0·33d.) in the pound.
