to be a Surveyor of Ships and Inspector of Ships’ Compasses for the purposes of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, on and from the 3rd day of April, 1945.

Alfred Ernest Reynolds

to be Registrar at Wellington of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Sheriff for the District of Wellington, Registrar of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, and Registrar and Marshal at Wellington of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in respect of its jurisdiction as a Colonial Court of Admiralty under the Colonial Courts of Admiralty Act, 1890, on and from the 11th day of June, 1945.

Claude Oswald Pratt

to be Registrar at Dunedin of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and Sheriff for the District of Otago for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, Official Assignee at Dunedin for the purposes of the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, and Registrar and Marshal at Dunedin of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in respect of its jurisdiction as a Colonial Court of Admiralty under the Colonial Courts of Admiralty Act, 1890, on and from the 14th day of June, 1945.

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Tuesday, the 24th day of July, 1945, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. G. F. Parsonson.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Thursday, the 19th day of July, 1945, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Eltham Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. S. O. Jones.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :—

A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor-vehicle for any other purpose.

The Ngaruawahia Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

1. This notice may be cited as the Ngaruawahia Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Ngaruawahia Milk Delivery Notice 1942 (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

2. Clause (2) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “ E. A. Cooper, Ngaruawahia,” and substituting therefor the words “ C. A. Conner, Kainui.”

Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area

PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, Benjamin Roberts, Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land defined as aforesaid to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purpose of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 19th day of July, 1945.


SCHEDULE

HUNUA-PAPARIMU BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA

ALL that area of land situated entirely within the Franklin County, and bounded by a line commencing at the point in Section 145, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, where a straight line from the south-east corner of Section 60, Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, to the south-west corner of Section 139, Block IV, Drury Survey District, intersects the Franklin County’s northern boundary; thence continuing in a southerly direction in a straight line to the southern point of Section 139, Block IV, Drury Survey District; thence in a southerly direction in a straight line to the south-eastern corner of Section 154, Block IV, Drury Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction in a straight line to the south-east corner of Part 19, Block IV, Drury Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Part 19 to a point where Symond’s Creek intersects the eastern boundary of Part 19; thence following this stream to a point where it intersects the western boundary of Block I, Opaheke Survey District, at Section 20; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Blocks I and V, Opaheke Survey District, to the point where it intersects the southern boundary of Section 199; thence in an easterly direction in a straight line to the south-east corner of Section 209, Block V, Opaheke Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction in a straight line to the north-west corner of Block VI, Opaheke Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction in a straight line to the northernmost corner of Section 126, Block VI, Opaheke Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction in a straight line to the Trig. Station No. 636, Block VI, Opaheke Survey District; thence in a southerly direction in a straight line to the south-east corner of Section 90, Block X, Opaheke Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Blocks X and XIV, Opaheke Survey District, to the north-east corner of Section 92, Block XIV, Opaheke Survey District; thence in an easterly direction in a straight line to the north-east corner of Section 65, Block XI, Opaheke Survey District; thence in the same straight line to a point on the eastern boundary of Block XI, Opaheke Survey District; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Blocks XI, VII and III, Opaheke Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of Block XIII, Wairoa Survey District, to a point where the said eastern boundary, Block XIII, intersects the northern boundary of the Franklin County; thence in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of the Franklin County to the original point of commencement.
