Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Blocks XIII and XIV, Waimea, and Block II, Kaniere Survey Districts, Westland Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land :
And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 37 acres 0 roods 8·7 perches.

Authorizing the Sale and Removal of Coal upon or under Land vested in His Majesty for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway (Walton Park or Green Island Branch)

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of June, 1945

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the sale and removal of coal upon or under the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being vested in His Majesty for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway (Walton Park or Green Island Branch) by virtue of Certificates of Title, Volume 47, folios 133 and 159 (Otago Registry).

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with : 6 acres 3 roods 29 perches.
Part Walton Park Railway, being part Sections 30, 31, Green Island West Survey District, and part Section 69, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 7678, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the First Schedule hereto and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, subject to the grant of drainpipe easement in favour of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, created by Memorandum of Transfer No. 94383, Canterbury Land Registry, being taken for a public school.
FIRST SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken : 6 acres 2 roods 37·6 perches.
Being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, D.P. 9779, and part Lots 28 and 29, D.P. 1531, all being part Rural Section 326 edged orange.
