Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 28th day of June, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

———

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :—

A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942* (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “ J. Tregilgus, Mosgiel ” (relating to the delivery of milk in Zone No. 8), and substituting therefor the following :—

“ William Grant Taylor, of Mosgiel.”

The Palmerston North Milk Delivery Scheme 1943, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Palmerston North Milk Delivery Scheme, 1943, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Palmerston North Milk Delivery Scheme, 1943† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause (8) of the principal scheme is hereby amended as follows :—

(a) By revoking the words “ R. A. Sowerby, 16 Mahoe Avenue ” (relating to deliveries in Zone 3), and substituting the words “ R. and A. Cox ” ;

(b) By revoking the words “ H. N. Wood and Son, Rangitikei Line ” (relating to deliveries in Zone 8), and substituting therefor the words “ A. G. Hansen ” ;

(c) By revoking the words “ M. C. Smith, 31 St. Johns Avenue ” (relating to deliveries in Zone 9), and substituting therefor the words “ Oliver Lawrence Drew, of Cock Street ” ;

(d) By revoking the words “ B. H. Potter, 194 Ruahine Street ” (relating to deliveries in Zone 12), and substituting therefor the words “ M. G. Valk ” ;

(e) By adding to the words “ In Zone 28 ” (in the description of that zone) the words “ and to Burrell’s Ice Cream Factory, 264 Albert Street.”

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Feilding Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Feilding Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause 3 of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “ S. Stratford, Aorangi, Feilding,” and substituting therefor where they occur respectively the words “ J. and W. McConnon, Aorangi, Feilding.”

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—BAY OF PLENTY.—TAURANGA INFORMATION

  1. Protected Anchorage and Buoys established

Position: Salisbury Avenue Jetty Light: Lat., 37° 38′·4 S.; long., 176° 10′·9 E. (approx.).

Details: A protected anchorage has been established in the area enclosed by the following lines: (1) A line extending 240° for 300 ft. from a position 002° 600 ft. from the above light; thence (2) a line 322° for 680 ft.; thence (3) a line 310° for 1,220 ft.; thence (4) a line 042° to the shore. A black buoy has been established at the end of lines (1), (2), and (3).

  1. Protected Anchorage and Buoy established

Position: Mission Pt. Trig.: Lat., 37° 40′·5 S.; long., 176° 10′·3 E. (approx.).

Details: A protected anchorage has been established in the area enclosed by the following lines: (1) A line extending 090° for 570 ft. from a position 350° 130 ft. from the trig.; thence (2) a line 190° for 1,700 ft.; thence (3) a line 270° to the shore. A red buoy has been established at the end of line (1).

  1. Buoy replaced by Beacon

Position: 332° 14·9 cables rom the above trig.

Details: A single pile beacon, 6 ft. above high-water, with a white triangular surmount, apex upward, has been established in the above position. A black buoy which existed about 1·3 cables north-westward has been withdrawn.

  1. Stella Passage Entrance

Position: 030° 10·03 cables from the above trig.

Details: The black buoy on the eastern side of Stella Passage entrance has been withdrawn and replaced by a single pile, 6 ft. above high water, with a black triangular surmount, apex upward.

  1. Stella Passage

Position: 024° 5·9 cables from the above trig.

Details: Red buoy No. 6 has been withdrawn and replaced by a single pile, 6 ft. above high water, with a red disk surmount.
