Requisitioning of Motor-spirit in Possession of the Police at Gisborne
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 1,* the Minister of Supply and Munitions hereby requisitions the twenty gallons of motor-spirit, and the holder in which they are contained, at present in the possession of the Police Department, Gisborne, in connection with the recent prosecutions of Geoffrey Stewart Martin, and directs that the motor-spirit be used in motor-vehicles controlled by the Police Department.

Appointing the Time and Place of the First Meeting of the Westland Catchment Board
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, the Minister of Works doth hereby appoint Friday, the 18th day of May, 1945, at 10 o’clock a.m., as the time, and the Borough Council Chambers, Greymouth, as the place, of the first meeting of the Westland Catchment Board.

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on the Patea Fire Board
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 14th May, 1945.
PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the 30th May, 1945, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Patea Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. S. O. Jones.

Notice respecting Proposed Constitution of Reporoa Drainage District, Counties of Rotorua and Taupo
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 8th May, 1945.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a drainage district, to be known as the “Reporoa Drainage District.” All persons affected are to hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution of such district which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE
PROPOSED REPOROA DRAINAGE DISTRICT, COUNTIES OF ROTORUA AND TAUPO
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Rotorua and Taupo Counties, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-western corner of Section 19s, Reporoa Settlement, and running north-westerly generally along the eastern side of the Rotorua–Taupo Main Highway to the south-western corner of Rotomahana–Parekarangi No. 3A 3A 2 Block;’ thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that block, and then again generally northerly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of part Paeroa East No. 4B 2E 1B Block and the north-eastern boundary of Rotomahana–Parekarangi 3A 3A 3B 2C Block, to and along the eastern side of the said Rotorua–Taupo Main Highway to the north-eastern side of the road forming the south-western boundary of Rotomahana–Parekarangi No. 3A 3B 4B 2B and Paeroa East No. 4B 1B 3C 2 Blocks; thence easterly generally along the north-eastern side of the said road and the southern boundaries of Paeroa East Nos. 4B 1B 3C 2, 4B 1B 3B, and 4B 1B 3A Blocks and a right line, being the production of the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block, to the middle of the Waiotapu
