IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land
C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
North Auckland Land District
ALL that area in the Great Barrier Island County, situated in Block III, Tryphena Survey District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres and 20 perches, more or less, being Allotment 198, Parish of Aotea. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/24792A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Plan S.O. 22577.)
SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR
North Auckland Land District
ALL that area in the Great Barrier County, situated in Blocks III and V, Tryphena Survey District, containing by admeasurement 91 acres, more or less, being Allotment M 102, Parish of Aotea. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/24792A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green. (Plan S.O. 6733A.)
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 14th day of May, 1945.

Appointing Six Non-elective Members of the Westland Catchment Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—
Elwyn Frank Evans, Esquire, A.M.I.C.E., District Engineer, Public Works Department, Greymouth,
Richard Patrick Connell, Esquire, M.A., Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Christchurch,
Courtney Biggs, Esquire, Conservator of Forests, State Forest Service, Hokitika,
George Wall Lowes, Esquire, M.I.M.M., Senior Inspector of Mines, Mines Department, Greymouth,
Harry Stephen Gibbs, Esquire, M.Sc., Pedologist, Soil Survey Division, Scientific and Industrial Research Department, Wellington,
Nelson Clay, Esquire, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Lands and Survey Department, Hokitika,
to be non-elective members of the Westland Catchment Board for a term commencing on the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and expiring on the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of May, 1945.

Revoking the Appointment of Six Non-elective Members of the Westland Catchment Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, appointing six non-elective members of the Westland Catchment Board.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of May, 1945.

Oscar Constans Görgodt Lundquist (not Oscar Constans Gorgodt as notified in New Zealand Gazette No. 23 of 5th April, 1945) as Consul-General of Sweden at Sydney for New Zealand, in succession to C. O. D. von Dardel, has been provisionally recognized.
