N OTICE is hereby given that matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Tauranga on Tuesday, 22nd May, at 10.30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

Surplus War Assets for Sale

THE War Assets Realization Board, Defence Services Building, Bunny Street, Wellington (postal address, Box 5080, Lambton Quay), invites offers for:

DRILL STEEL, HOLLOW HEXAGON (approximately 14 tons, 7 in. and 1 in. diameter). Stocks held at Martha Mine, Waihi, and State Coal-mines, Greymouth.

SCRAP METAL (held at R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Te Rapa). The "dump" comprises scrap steel, iron, aluminium, dural, with small quantities of copper, brass, and lead. Approximate weight, 45 tons.

SCRAP METAL (held as follows):

Non-ferrous scrap, made up of brass, bronze, and aluminium 1 ton.
Steel ferrous scrap, consists of axles, gears, frames, and bodies 75 tons.
Cast iron and steel 25 tons.
Also brass strapping ½ in. by 1 in. 1,215 ft.
" ⅛ in. by 1¼ in. 895 ft.

Auckland—

Scrap aluminium (ammunition cases) 2,590 lb.
Scrap mild steel 70,077 lb.
Scrap iron 2,000 lb.

PLASTER-OF-PARIS (held by Army at No. 1 Sub-depot, Ngaruawahia). 1,344 lb., in eight sacks.

Offers close with the Board’s Secretary, to whom they should be addressed in envelopes marked “Offer for ……,” at noon on Monday, 14th May, 1945. Further particulars may be obtained from the Board's District Executive Officers, Dilworth Building, Auckland, and care of Public Works Department, Christchurch, and also from the Board's Wellington office.

IT is hereby notified that the order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder has been made by the Native Land Court under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1931.

Taking of Fish for Sale

R. J. W. Prescott, 46 Walton Street, Roslyn, Dunedin, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 30 ft. 4 h.p. fishing-vessel “Mollie” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Karitane.

L. G. Hunter, Maketu, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. fishing-vessel “Sea Gull” (not yet registered), using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Maketu.

R. A. Arkless, Lucern Road, Langholm, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 30 ft. 10 h.p. fishing-vessel “Hobeen” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Auckland.

S. C. Forrester, 234 Richmond Terrace, New Brighton, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 18 ft. 5 h.p. fishing-vessel and 16 ft. row-boat as a tender (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, and drag-nets, catches to be landed at Lake Ellesmere.

H. Walker, Titirangi, Private Bag, Havelock, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Romona,” NN. 716, so as to permit him to operate the “Kelp” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Havelock.
