Crown Land in Auckland Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—Te Kuiti Borough ALLOTMENTS 11, 13, and 21, Block XV, Te Kuiti Native Township, situated in Block III, Otanake Survey District : Area, 2 roods 4 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of April, 1945.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Clifton Road, in the Borough of Takapuna, of a Width less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 2nd day of May, 1945

Present :

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

TN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Takapuna Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said street within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Takapuna, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being parts Lots 13, 14, and 15 on Deposited Plan 3060, and being portion of Allotment 22 of Section 1 of the Parish of Takapuna. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119355, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a Native school.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that there shall be constituted a Board to be called “the Prisons Board,” consisting of not less than three nor more than seven persons : And whereas by the said section it is provided that the members of the Board shall be appointed from time to time by the Governor-General in Council : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby reappoint-

The Honourable Archibald William Blair, a Judge of the Supreme Court, Wellington (President), Sir Donald McGavin, Kt., C.M.G., D.S.O., Wellington, Theodore Grant Gray, Esquire, C.M.G., Wellington, Berkeley Lionel Dallard, Esquire, Wellington, Ernest Edridge, Esquire, Christchurch,

to be members of the Prisons Board constituted under the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, as aforesaid.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, as the date on which shall be held the first election of representatives of the constituent districts in the Southland Catchment District, being a catchment district duly constituted by Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 20 of the twenty-second day of the same month.
