Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

E. N. May, Aubrey Street, Akaroa, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. fishing-vessel “Aqua” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Akaroa, and also for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to sell his catches at boat-side.

Messrs. R. Wilkie, E. A. Lincoln, L. Lincoln, and W. Wells, Napier, have applied for a license to permit them to operate the 51 ft. fishing-vessel “Beatrice” (not yet registered), using drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Napier.

T. G. Longdin, 15 Davison Avenue, Warrawu, Sydney, has applied for a license to permit him to operate a 30 ft. fishing-vessel (to be built), using long lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Akaroa.

K. S. H. Baker, Box 16, Rawene, Hokianga, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 14 ft. fishing-vessel “One” (not yet registered), using set-nets, catches to be landed at Rawene.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 10th May, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
