The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
——
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 26th day of March, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the interest of the licensee in the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 1st day of June, 1945, as the date on which the interest of the licensee in the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and twenty-two (122) acres one (1) rood and ten (10) perches, more or less, being Section 7, Block IV, Piako Survey District, and being all the land held under Deferred Payment License 3506, entered in Vol. 811, folio 14 (Auckland Registry).
As witness my hand, this 19th day of April, 1945.

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 28th day of September, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 17th day of May, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing twenty-five (25) acres two (2) roods thirty-four (34) perches, more or less, being Lot 4 on Deposited Plan 1263, part of Allotment No. 6 of the Parish of Waipareira, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 80, folio 80 (Auckland Land Registry).

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and ninety-nine (199) acres three (3) roods twenty-seven (27) perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 121, 122, 123, 124, and 125, situated in Block IV, Tiffin Survey District, Settlement of Masterton, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 350, folio 144 (Wellington Registry).

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 1st day of June, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
