HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 49 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, been pleased to make the following appointments :—

to be a member of the Woodend Domain Board in place of Cecil Allan Payne, resigned.
Leo Thomas Wells and
George Wilfred Dinnan
to be members of the Mamaku Domain Board in place of Harold James Hall, resigned, and Claude Everard Floyd, left the district.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Christchurch for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Christchurch and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for sand-dune-reclamation purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Pukekohe and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Green Island, the County of Taieri, and the Kaikorai Riding of the County of Taieri
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 24th April, 1945.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Borough of Green Island are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 7th day of March, 1945, and published in Gazette No. 17 of the 8th day of March, 1945.
And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Taieri affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Kaikorai Riding of the County of Taieri affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Edward Street and Gordon Street in the extension of the Township of Burnside ; thence southerly along the western side of Gordon Street, 276 links ; thence easterly across Gordon Street and along the southern boundary of Section 41, Block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to Duke Street ; thence along the southern side of Duke Street to Section 61, Block VI aforesaid ; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to its south-western corner ; thence easterly along the southern boundary of that section, and north-easterly along its south-eastern boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Section 44, and part of the south-eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of Section 45, Lower Kaikorai District ; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Section 45, Block VI aforesaid, to its southernmost corner, and thence along the south-western boundary of Section 33, Lower Kaikorai District, to the Lower Kaikorai Road ; thence across that road and along a right line bearing 117° 56′ for a distance of 1197·8 links to the eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI, Town District ; thence along the eastern boundary of that section to the Main South Road ; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to the south-western side of Section 45 aforesaid ; thence across that road and south-westerly generally along its south-eastern side to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 13, Township of Concord ; along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 13 and 14, across Mulford Street, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 46 and the south-western boundaries of Allotments 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, and 39, Township of Concord, to Emerson Street, and along the eastern side of that street to a point in line with the south-western side of Thoreau Street ; thence to and along the south-western side of that street to Allotment 63 of Section 1, Block XV, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and along the southern boundary of that allotment to the north-western boundary of the said Block XV ; thence along that boundary to Cemetery Road ; thence along the northern side of that road to Mill Road ; thence along the north-western side of Mill Road to Brighton Road, and north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Brighton Road to the southern boundary of the fellmongery lease in Section 86, Lower Kaikorai District ; thence across Brighton Road and along the southern boundary of the said lease to its westernmost corner ; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said lease and across a right-of-way to the Walton Park Branch Railway Reserve ; thence south-easterly along the southern side of the said railway reserve to and across Brighton Road ; thence north-easterly to the northern side of the said reserve, across a road, and along the northern side of the said Walton Park Branch Railway Reserve to Abbot’s Creek, along the eastern side of that creek to Section 60, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and along the southern boundary of that section, crossing the Main South Road to Thomson Street ; thence across that street and along the north-eastern side of said Main South Road to Section 60, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District ; thence along the south-eastern boundary of said Section 60 to a railway reserve ; thence north-westerly by the south-western boundary of said reserve to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 5, Town of Abbotsford Extension No. 2 ; thence across the railway reserve to said Allotment 5 ; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of railway reserve to the North Taieri Road ; thence
