ERRATUM.—In the notice dated 14th March, 1945, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 20 of the 22nd day
of the same month at page 313, relative to the “Appointment of
Clerk of Magistrates’ Court to whom Statements of Liquor shall be
sent under Section 147 of the Licensing Act, 1908,” in the Schedule
thereto, for “Kawhia, as described in New Zealand of 1894, page
712,” read “Kawhia, as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1894,
page 712.”

Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block V,
Omapere Survey District, North Auckland Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses
Native land and has been used by the public as a public
road :
And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the
nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four,
and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the
Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a
public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the
public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public
road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the
Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six
of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be
proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven
of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road
the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 1 acre
l rood l perch.
Being part Whakanekeneke Block, Block V, Omapere Survey
District (N.L. plan 13161).
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/91/7c,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, under No. 2934, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of April, 1945.

Abolishing Motueka River District, County of Waimea
[L.S.] C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the River Boards Act, 1908, and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the Motueka River District, situated in
the Nelson Catchment District, shall be and is hereby abolished.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1945.

Amending Order in Council revoking the Delegation of Powers under
the Cemeteries Act, 1908

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of
April, 1945
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke, in so far only as it
relates to the Purangi Public Cemetery, the Order in Council delegating powers under the said Act made on the twenty-seventh
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and published in the Gazette on the third day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-four, at page 1217, whereby powers of appoint-ing and removing trustees in respect to the Purangi Public
Cemetery were delegated to the Inglewood County Council.

Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by the Mental Defectives Act, 1911, it is enacted
that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council,
declare that any building provided and maintained wholly or in
part out of moneys appropriated by Parliament, together with
any land used or intended to be used in connection therewith, is
a public institution within the meaning of the said Act:
