Land in Westland Land District forfeited

Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 3rd April, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Westland Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 4th April, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 28th May, 1945.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 29th May, 1945, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount in reduction of weighting for improvements.

This is a house property situated at the corner of Marae and Miriama Streets. Vacant possession.

Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 4th April, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 p.m. on Monday, 7th May, 1945.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 8th May, 1945, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

Lots 2, 3, and 4 are each weighted with the sum of 10s. for fencing improvements, payable in cash.

These sections are situated about 10 chains from the Burwood trolley-bus route and school, and about three miles and a half from Cathedral Square, Christchurch. Sections 1 to 4 and Lot 1 of Lot 8 have frontage to Bottle Lake Road, and Sections 6 and 7 have frontage to Lake Terrace Road. The lots comprise good building-sites, all at present covered in broom. Soil is of a light sandy nature.

NOTE.—Term of lease: Thirty-three years, with right of renewal at valuation.
