The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
Declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the said Act the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, and a copy of the said notice was published in the Gazette on the 11th day of January, 1945, at page 10:
And whereas the Minister of Lands, at the request of the owners, agreed to a variation of the area to be taken by the exclusion of part of the said land:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 29th day of June, 1945, as the date on which the said lands shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
FIRST SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land situated in Blocks III and IV, Opotiki Survey District, containing four hundred and ninety-five (495) acres one (1) rood and twenty-eight (28) perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 12259, and Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan No. 16976, being portions of Allotments 206, 207, 208, 209, and 210, Allotments 198, 199, 200, 201, 202, 203, 203A, 204, 205, and 211, all of Parish of Waioeka, and being all the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 66, folios 25 and 47, Vol. 67, folios 36, 89, 123, and 287, Vol. 69, folio 162, Vol. 71, folios 10 and 11, Vol. 73, folio 137 (Gisborne Registry).
SECOND SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land situated in Blocks III and IV, Opotiki Survey District, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, being Allotments 198, 199, 200, 201, 202, 203, 203A, 204, 205, and 211, all of Parish of Waioeka, and being all the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 66, folios 25 and 47, Vol. 67, folios 36, 89, 123, and 287, Vol. 69, folio 162, and Vol. 71, folio 10 (Gisborne Registry).

The Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1945
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—
- This notice may be cited as the Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1945.
- This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
- The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the said Schedule.
- The Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1944† is hereby consequentially revoked.
SCHEDULE
THE BALCLUTHA MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1945
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
" The district " means all that area forming the Borough of Balclutha as at present constituted (including the Balclutha Hospital), the adjacent area to the south of the borough known as Rosebank, and the Township of Benhar.
(2) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows :—

Lewis Eason Aitken, Balclutha
(a) All that area in the district north of the Balclutha Traffic Bridge and known as North Balclutha, including Main North Road to " Munroe's Corner " and including both sides of all side streets between the traffic bridge and that corner.
(b) From the south end of the Balclutha Traffic Bridge as follows :—
The whole of the following streets :—
Glasgow Street, Drumclog Street, Paisley Street, Lanark Street, Renfrew Street, Elizabeth Street, John Street, Gordon Street, Crown Street, William Street, Charlott Street.
Part only of the streets as follows :—
Both sides of James Street to Gordon Street intersection only.
Both sides of Stewart Street to Gordon Street intersection only.
Both sides of Clyde Street to Gordon Street intersection only.
West side of Clyde Street to Barr Street only.
Both sides of Douglas Street to Gordon Street intersection only.
Frederick William Sell, Balclutha
(a) All that area in the district south of Ryrie Street known as Rosebank, including the South Otago Hospital.
(b) All that area in the district on the Main North Road from a point known as Benhar Corner, and the whole of Benhar District.
(c) The whole of the following streets :—
Argyle Street, Baxter Street.
(d) Also part only of the streets as follows :—
Both sides of Clyde Street from Barr Street southwards.
East side of Clyde Street from Gordon Street southwards to Barr Street.
South end of James Street from High Street to Gordon Street.
Stewart Street from High Street to Gordon Street.
