Revoking the Vesting of Control of Portion of the Hanmer Thermal Springs Reserve, Canterbury Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of March, 1945
Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the Gazette of the twelfth day of that month, the control of certain reserves was vested in the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1906:
And whereas it is expedient that the aforesaid Order in Council should be revoked over portion of the land described in the Schedule thereto :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council of the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, aforesaid, in so far as concerns the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.-PART HANMER THERMAL SPRINGS RESERVE

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, and being part Reserve 3942 (formerly part Section 4, Hanmer Thermal Springs Reserve), situated in Blocks I and II, Lyndon Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north by Section 8, Hanmer Thermal Springs Reserve, 1236·25 links; towards the east and south-east generally by other part of Reserve 3942, 689·78 links, 155·76 links, 155·0 links, 195·72 links, and 28·28 links; towards the south-west by Jacks Pass Road, 977·3 links; and towards the west generally by other part of Reserve 3942, 200·0 links and 97·35 links; and again by Section 1, Hanmer Thermal Springs Reserve, 238·47 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/796A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Revoking the Reservation over a Reserve in Hautapu Survey District, Wellington Land District

Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for a rifle range over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

Revoking the Reservation for Recreation Purposes over a Reserve in the City of Christchurch, Canterbury Land District

Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS a notice of intention to issue an Order in Council declaring that the reservation as a public reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the First Schedule hereto shall be revoked was published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four:
And whereas such notice of intention was duly laid before both Houses of Parliament in accordance with the provisions of subsection two of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:
And whereas the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives, by resolutions dated respectively the eighth and the thirteenth days of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, approved the proposed revocation as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation as a public reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, may be disposed of by the said body corporate by way of sale or other disposition on such terms and conditions as the said body corporate shall determine, but so that the proceeds of any such sale shall be used and applied in or towards recouping the said body corporate for the moneys expended by it in the purchase for recreation purposes of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 11·4 perches, more or less, being Lot 9 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 6656, part of Rural Section 73, situated in the City of Christchurch, and bounded as follows : Towards the north generally by Lot 29 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 6887, 100·42 links, and by Koromiko Street, 50·0 links ; towards the east generally by Lot 28 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 6887, 111·2 links and 217·75 links; towards the south by Centaurus Road, 200·1 links ; and towards the west by Lot 25 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 6887, 289·53 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/975M, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bo dered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL those areas containing together by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 1 perch, more or less, being Reserve 4452 (formerly Lots 7, 8, and 9, D.P. 5960, and Lots 10, 11, and 12, D.P. 6137), situated in the City of Christchurch. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/975I, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Recreation Reserve in the Hawke’s Bay Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of March, 1945
Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Mahia Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.
