Harry Jones Priestley to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Mohaka, on and from the 2nd day of March, 1945.

Public Trust Office—Rate of Interest payable on Moneys invested in the Common Fund

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 48 of the Finance Act, 1932, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Finance, do hereby give notice that the rate of interest to be paid by the Public Trustee on moneys invested on or after the 1st day of April, 1945, in the Common Fund of the Public Trust Office, pursuant to section 16 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1913, shall be £2 15s. per centum per annum.

Renaming Institution established under the Child Welfare Act, 1925

In pursuance of the power conferred on me by section 7 (2) of the Child Welfare Act, 1925, I do hereby notify that the institution gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette No. 13 of the 10th March, 1927, page 591, as the Girls' Home, Burwood, is in future to be called the Girls' Training Centre, Christchurch.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, City of Christchurch
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 23rd March, 1945.
It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH:
All that area in the County of Heathcote, Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Roscoe Street in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 13 on plan deposited in the Canterbury District Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 8624, being a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch (New Zealand Gazette, 1944, pages 1254 and 1508); thence in a southerly direction by a right line to and along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 13 and the eastern boundary of Lot 9, on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 8624, to Leonard Street; thence easterly along the northern side of that street and its production to a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence north-westerly and easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.
