A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Block XIII, Galatea Survey District, Blocks I, V, VI, X, XI, XII, and XVI, Ahikereru Survey District, and Blocks IX and XIII, Ruatahuna Survey District, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the land within a distance of ten chains on each side of the said middle-line.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING on the Rotorua-Waikaremoana Road at its junction with the Galatea Road intersecting Whirinaki Block No. 1 part Section 2A, and proceeding thence in a southerly and south-easterly direction generally for a distance of 33 miles 0 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, viz. : Sections 22 and 25, Block XIII, Galatea Survey District ; Whirinaki Blocks No. 1 part Section 2A, No. 2 part Section 1A, and No. 2 Section 3B 4, all situated in Block XIII, Galatea Survey District ; Whirinaki Blocks No. 2 Section 3B 1 and No. 2 Section 3B 2B, situated in Block XIII, Galatea Survey District, and Block I, Ahikereru Survey District ; Whirinaki Blocks No. 2 Section 3B 2A, part No. 2 Section 3B 3B, and No. 2 Section 3B 5, part Tawa-o-Tionga Block, and Matera Block, all situated in Block I, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Whirinaki Block No. 2 Section 2 and part Tawa-o-Tionga Block, situated in Blocks I and V, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Section 2, Section 6, closed road, Section 5, part Section 1, Section 3, and Section 4, Block V, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Whirinaki Block No. 2 Section 2, Ponaua Block, part Whirinaki Block No. 2 Section 2, and part Te Whaiti Block, all situated in Block V, Ahikereru Survey District ; Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, and Section 4, Block VI, Ahikereru Survey District ; Crown land pursuant to section 122 of the Land Act, 1908, part Urewera A Block, part Umurakau Block, part Te Whaiti Block, Waikotikoti-Papakainga No. 1 Block, and Tahupango A Block, all situated in Block VI, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Te Whaiti Block, part Tahupango B Block, and part Waikotikoti-Papakainga Block No. 2, situated in Blocks VI and X, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Waikotikoti-Papakainga Blocks No. 2A No. 1, part Umurakau Block, Tahupango Blocks D, part B and C, parts Takahia Block, Te Apu Block, parts Te Whaiti Block, Waireporepo Blocks No. 2D, No. 2C, and No. 2E, all situated in Block X, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Waireporepo Block, situated in Blocks X and XI, Ahikereru Survey District ; Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, and Section 6, Block XI, Ahikereru Survey District ; Crown land pursuant to section 122 of the Land Act, 1908, part Urewera A Block, part Pamatanga Block, part Taraponamu Block, and Whakatau Block, all situated in Block XI, Ahikereru Survey District ; Waituhi Block and Pukiore Block, situated in Blocks XI and XVI, Ahikereru Survey District ; part Umukahawai Block, Tarapounamu-Papakainga Block, and Tarapounamu-Urapa Block; all situated in Block XII, Ahikereru Survey District ; Section 2, Section 5, Section 3, Section 4, and Section 1, Block XVI, Ahikereru Survey District ; Crown land pursuant to section 129 of the Land Act, 1924, Mangapai Block, parts Papueru Block, part Apitihana Block, parts Heipipi Block, part Urewera A Block, part Parahaki Block, all situated in Block XVI, Ahikereru Survey District ; Taumaha Block and Omakoi Block, situated in Block XVI, Ahikereru Survey District ; and Block XIII, Ruatahuna Survey District ; Umuroa Block, Kiha Block, part Tahuaroa Block, Hiwiotewera Block, part Wharekakaho Block, Maioro Block, and part Tahuaroa Block, all situated in Block XIII, Ruatahuna Survey District ; part of Kakanui Block, situated in Blocks XIII and IX, Ruatahuna Survey District ; Tarahanga Block, part Pawharaputoko Block, Wairere Block, Orora Block, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, Ruatahuna Township, part Ruatahuna Block (Township Reserve), Tatahoata Block, all situated in Block IX, Ruatahuna Survey District ; Araiwhenua Block and Te Ti Block, situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Ruatahuna Survey District ; Tongariro Block, Okete Block, and Te Huia Block, all situated in Block XIII, Ruatahuna Survey District ; and terminating at a point seventy-five miles from Rotorua on the Rotorua-Waikaremoana Road on the eastern boundary of Block XIII, Ruatahuna Survey District ; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses ; all in the Auckland Land District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 121062, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of March, 1945.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks V and VIII, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., Portion of the Plimmerton-Paekakariki Road

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 59 of the third day of the same month at page 1677, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 2709, defining the middle-line of a road in Blocks V and VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, in so far as it affects Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, D.P. 12888, and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 503, folio 68 (Wellington Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of March, 1945.

Authorizing the Wellington Harbour Board to reclaim Land and construct a Rubble Wall in Evans Bay, Wellington Harbour

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of March, 1945

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS it is provided by the one-hundred-and-sixty-eighth section of the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter called “ the said Act ”), that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, authorize any local authority or Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea areas, not exceeding five acres in extent, in any case where he considers that the reclamation will not affect navigation and is for the benefit of the public :

And whereas the Wellington Harbour Board (hereinafter called “ the Board ”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land in Evans Bay, Wellington Harbour, and the said reclamation is of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Board has applied to the Governor-General in Council for an order authorizing the execution of the said harbour-works :

And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation and is for the benefit of the public :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize and empower the Board to reclaim from the sea in Evans Bay, Wellington Harbour, the land marked “ Reclamation ” on plan marked M.D. 8362 (Sheet 1) and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such reclamation to be carried out and constructed in accordance with plan marked M.D. 8362 (Sheet 1) subject to the provisions of the said Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the Poverty Bay Catchment District so as to include the whole of the County of Waiapu (New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2607).
