Trustees of Waikouaiti Cemetery appointed
C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908,
L, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the Waikouaiti
Borough Council to be the trustees of the Waikouaiti Cemetery as
described in the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and
management of the said cemetery.
SCHEDULE
WAIKOUAITI CEMETERY
All that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasure-
ment 10 acres, more or less, being a cemetery reserve, Town of
Hawksbury. Bounded towards the north by part of Section 50,
Block IV, Hawksbury Survey District, 1028 links; towards the
east by Allotment 4, Block XVIII, aforesaid town, 975 links;
towards the south by Allotment 2A, the abutment of a street, and
by part of Allotment 2, aforesaid block, 1028 links; and towards
the west by part of said Allotment 2 and Allotment 1, aforesaid
block, 975 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1573, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 14th day of March, 1945.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of March,
1945
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke, in so far as it relates
to the Waikouaiti Cemetery, the Order in Council delegating powers
under the said Act made on the eighteenth day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the
Gazette on the twenty-first day of the same month at page 2429.

Danger Areas
IN accordance with Regulation 18 of the Defence Emergency
Regulations 1941, the following are danger areas until further
notice:
(a) Live Bombing Range.-The target consists of a small rocky
island situated in the Hauraki Gulf at latitude 36° 42' 35"
S., and longitude 175° 0' 23" E. This point is 5,800
yards from the northern tip of Rakin Island on a bearing
of 090° T. The danger area is all that area within a
circle described, with the target as a centre and having a
radius of 2,000 yards. The area includes all those rocks
known as David Rocks.
(b) Forward Firing Rocket Projectile Range.-The danger area
is bounded on the west by a line joining 175° 4' 25",
36° 55' 0" S.; 175° 4' 25" E., 36° 55' 15" S.; on the
north by a line extending 3,000 yards on a bearing
040° T. from 175° 4' 25" E., 36° 55' 0" S.; on the south
by a line extending 3,000 yards on a bearing 100° T.
from 175° 4' 25" E., 36° 55' 15" S.; on the east by a line
joining the seaward extremities of the north and south
boundaries.
This range may be popularly described as being the bay on
the south side of Tamaki Strait between Koherunui Point and a
point half-mile north-east of Whaka-Kai-Wharu Point.

Notice respecting Proposed Abolition of the Motueka River District,
County of Waimea
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 14th March, 1945.
IT is hereby notified that the Nelson Catchment Board has
presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General,
under the River Boards Act, 1908, and the Soil Conservation and
Rivers Control Act, 1941, praying that the Motueka River District
may be abolished. All persons affected are hereby called upon to
lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed
abolition which they desire to lodge within one month from the
first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be
addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
