Altering and redefining the Boundaries of the Hawke’s Bay Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4166)

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of
February, 1945

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act,
1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request
of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council,
alter and redefine the boundaries of its district :

And whereas the district known as the Hawke’s Bay Rabbit
District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the
said Act :

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the
said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries
of its district be altered and redefined by excluding an area there-
from :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the
boundaries of the said district accordingly :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so
constituted as aforesaid ;

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those
set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force
on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE HAWKE’S BAY RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay, Auckland, and Wellington Land
Districts, comprising the Hawke’s Bay County and parts of the
Wairoa, Taupo, Rangitikei, Patangata, and Waipawa Counties, and
bounded as follows : Commencing at the point of intersection of the
middle-line of the Taharua River with the south-eastern boundary
of Tauhara South A Block in Block V, Maruanui Survey District ;
then proceeding north-easterly by a right line to the Rangitaikei
River at the crossing of the main Napier–Taupo Road ; then
south-easterly by that road to the middle of the Mohaka River ;
then generally easterly down the middle of the Mohaka River to
the sea ; then generally southerly along the sea-coast to the north-
eastern corner of Block 40, Mangakuri Crown Grant District ; then
generally north-westerly along the northern and western boundaries
of the said Block 40, the northern boundaries of Blocks 39, 38, the
eastern and northern boundaries of Block 37, the northern boundary
of Block 36, the eastern and northern boundaries of Block 24, the
northern boundaries of Blocks 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, Mangakuri Crown
Grant District, to and along the left bank of the Mangarara Stream
to the Tuki Tuki River ; then in a general south-westerly direction
along the right bank of the Tuki Tuki River to its confluence with the
Waipawa River ; then north-westerly along the right bank of the
Waipawa River to its confluence with the Makaroro River ; then
in a general north-westerly direction along the right bank of the
Makaroro River, to and along the right bank of Gold Creek to the
headwaters of that creek, and from thence due west by a right line
to the summit of the Ruahine Range ; then northerly along the
summit of the Ruahine Range to the south-western boundary of
the Hawke’s Bay County ; then north-westerly by a right line to
Trig. Station No. 30 on Aorangi ; then south-westerly by a right
line between the said Trig. Station No. 30 and Trig. Station No. 32
to the middle-line of the Rangitikei River ; then northerly up the
middle-line of the Rangitikei River to the Taupo County boundary ;
then generally easterly along the southern boundary of the Taupo
County, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1933, page 12, to the
middle of the Mohaka River ; then northerly up the middle of
that river and the Taharua River to the point of commencement.

Certain Lands reclaimed from the Sea included in the City of Dunedin

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of
February, 1945

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
him by section one hundred and thirty-nine of the Municipal
Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the City of
Dunedin are hereby altered so as to include within the limits of the
said city the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands
reclaimed from the sea adjacent to the said city.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing 59 acres 2 roods
9 poles, more or less, being part of the Otago Harbour Board Endow-
ment and part railway reserve. Bounded towards the north-east
by a right line from Trig. EE, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin
Survey District, to the boundary-line of the land vested in the Otago
Harbour Board by the Lands Vesting Act, 1910, bearing 163° 21′ 46″
360 links ; towards the south-east by said boundary-line bearing
262° 52′ 5905 links ; and towards the south-west and north-west by
right lines, being the present boundary of Dunedin City, bearing
343° 50′ 624 links and bearing 42° 31′ 1560 links respectively ;
towards the north-east generally by the original high-water mark of
the Otago Harbour, the Dunedin – Port Chalmers Main Highway,
and again by said high-water mark to Trig. EE, 4979·2 links : be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.

consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

Charles Stanley Appleby,
Robert Muir,
J.hn Frederick Mayn,
William Roy McCullough,
Arthur William O’Dwyer,
Francis Alfred John Plummer,
Daniel James Rogers,
Terrence Joseph O’Dwyer, and
Alec Whiteman

to be the Patetonga Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint
Wednesday, the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-five, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Patetonga Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of
the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE

PATETONGA DOMAIN.—AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

Sections 1 to 6, Block II, Patetonga Village : Area, 1 acre 2 roods,
more or less.

Sections 6 to 15, Block V, Sections 1 to 8, Block VI, Sections 4
to 10, Block VII, Patetonga Village, and Section 78, Block XIII,
Waihou Survey District : Area, 10 acres 2 roods 13·2 perches,
more or less.
