Notice under Section 31 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1944, affecting the Disclosure of Medical Information by Employees of Hospital Boards
PURSUANT to paragraph (f) of subsection (3) of section 31 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1944, the Minister of Health determines and prescribes that the provisions of section 31 shall not apply with respect to information required by the Government Statistician for statistical purposes. This determination shall be deemed effective as from the date of passing of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1944.

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
G. M. Hart, Kawhia, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his 33 ft. 40 h.p. fishing-vessel “Elsie,” AK. 131, using set-nets and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Kawhia.
A. Mastellone, Rona Street, Rona Bay, Wellington, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 12 ft. fishing-vessel (not yet registered), using drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Rona Bay.
G. F. Dalton, Rototai Road, Takaka, Nelson, has applied for a license so as to permit him to operate the 30 ft. fishing-vessel “Jessie Logan,” using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Waitapu and Motueka.
W. K. Bannister, Bruce Bay, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 22 ft. 22 h.p. fishing-vessel “Moaraki” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Bruce Bay.
W. H. Thompson, Te Kaha, Bay of Plenty, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 14 ft. outboard-motor boat “Cambridge Bill,” using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Te Kaha, and also for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to hawk his catches for sale from Raukokore River to Torere Pa.
Messrs. Liberato Morena and Rafael Volpicelli have applied for a variation of their existing licenses applicable respectively to the fishing-vessels “Prince Umberto,” WN. 728, and “Re Vittoria,” WN. 717, so as to permit them to operate a new 50 ft. 80–90 h.p. Diesel-engined vessel (yet to be built), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Wellington.
D. R. Millar, 24 Constitution Street, Port Chalmers, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the fishing-vessel “Psyche,” DN. 65, so as to permit him to operate his new 57 ft. 120 h.p. engined vessel “Argo” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, catches to be landed at Waikouaiti.

A. C. Smith, 133 Glen Road, Dunedin, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to sell wet and cooked fish from premises at 537 Cargill Road, Dunedin.
Manufacture of Electric Ranges
Bradley’s Electrical Co., Ltd., have applied for a license to permit the manufacture of electric ranges and stovettes.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 22nd February, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
