Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939.—Authorizing the
Use of and dealing with certain Land and Chattels

In the matter of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations
1939 and of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations
1939, Amendment No. 2.
WHEREAS by a declaration dated the 19th day of December,
1944, a copy whereof was published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 98 on the 21st day of December, 1944, at page 1545,
it was declared that I had taken possession of and requisitioned,
pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 4 of the Primary
Industries Emergency Regulation 1939, Amendment No. 2, the
land described in the Schedule hereto and all buildings situated
thereon, and also all stock, implements, and other goods on the said
land:
And whereas it appears to me to be necessary and expedient
for the effectual exercise of the powers conferred by Regulation 6
of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939 upon the
Primary Industries Controller appointed under such regulations to
authorize the use of and dealing with the said land, buildings, stock,
implements, and other goods as hereinafter appears:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers con-
tained in Regulation 4 of the Primary Industries Emergency
Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 2, and of all other powers enabling
me in this behalf, I do hereby authorize and direct as follows,
namely :—
(1) The Primary Industries Controller aforesaid shall carry on
or cause to be carried on the said land the business of
dairy-farming:
(2) For the purpose of carrying on or causing to be carried on
the business aforesaid the Primary Industries Controller
aforesaid may appoint or employ or engage such agents
or servants as he may think necessary or expedient,
and may revoke any appointment or remove or dismiss
or cancel the employment or engagement of any agent
or servant and appoint or employ or engage any person
in his place:
(3) For the purpose aforesaid the Primary Industries Controller
may use and employ such stock, implements, and goods
as he may think necessary or expedient:
(4) For the purpose aforesaid the Primary Industries Controller
may give such directions and make such contracts or
arrangements from time to time as he may think necessary
or expedient:
(5) Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing pro-
visions the Primary Industries Controller may sell or
otherwise dispose of the stock on the said land or any of
them and also the implements and other goods on the
said land or any of them.

twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
five, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the King's Picture
Theatre, Matata, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board
shall be held.
