Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
L. R. Green, Lyall Bay, Wellington, has applied for a variation
of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his 14 ft.
fishing-vessel (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long
lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Moa
Point.
F. J. Dowling and J. B. Crossen, 122 Coates Avenue, Orakei,
have applied for a license to permit them to operate their 32 ft.
24 h.p. fishing-vessel “Vera” (not yet registered), using set-nets,
drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be
landed at Auckland.
J. McLeod, Katikati, has applied for a license to permit him
to operate his 22 ft. 25 h.p. fishing-vessel “Spitfire” (not yet
registered), using drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to
be landed at Katikati.
N. A. Steele, Market Street, Picton, has applied for a variation
of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his 26 ft. 6 h.p.
fishing-vessel “Ngahina” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-
nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed
at Picton.
T. W. Hilton, Clarence, Kaikoura, has applied for a license to
permit him to operate his 11 ft. fishing-boat “Nip” (not yet
registered), using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots,
catches to be landed at Clarence.
Fish Retailing
F. Wilson, Napier, has applied, on behalf of a company to be
registered as “Marine Foods, Limited,” for a license to sell wet
fish from premises at 43 Emerson Street, Napier.
A. Zavos, 151 Jackson Street, Petone, has applied for a fish-
retailer’s license to permit him to sell cooked fish from restaurant
premises at that address known as the “Central Cafe.”
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
W. Ferguson, 7 Margaret Street, Palmerston North, has applied
for permission to manufacture overshoes.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make
any desired representations in writing not later than the 28th
December, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry,
G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
