The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 11th
day of November, 1944. -
The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf
shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-
water mark, or at such place as may be approved of by the Minister
or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.
SECOND SCHEDULE
Dues
Berthage
The master of every vessel hauling alongside the wharf shall
pay to the Council on every such vessel per day or part
of a day, per ton of registered tonnage
The master of every vessel when bar-bound at Tairua shall be
charged for three days only.
The master of every sailing-vessel shall in all cases make way
for steamers.
Storage
The master of every vessel or the owner of all goods, &c.,
stored in the wharf shed shall pay to the Council storage on such
goods at the undermentioned rates:
Incoming Cargo—
Free storage for forty-eight hours.
After forty-eight hours, per ton, per day or part of a day
Parcels, after forty-eight hours, each, per day or part of a day
Outgoing Cargo—
Free storage in all cases for seven days.
Grain—
Over seven days and up to twenty-one days, per sack,
per week or part of a week
Over twenty-one days, per sack, per week or part of a
week
Potatoes, same rate as grain.
Wool—
Over seven days to twenty-one days, per bale, per week
or part of a week
Over twenty-one days, per bale, per week or part of a
week
Chaff, one-half grain rate.
All other outgoing cargo, over seven days, per ton, per
day or part of a week
Any cargo, incoming or outgoing, may be ordered to be removed
from the shed at any time by the Council.
Wharfage
The master of every vessel or the owner of all goods, &c., landed
on or shipped from the wharf shall pay to the Council, by weight
or measurement, at the option of the Council, the following charges,
that is to say:
Bricks, per 100
Butter (up to three boxes), per box
Butter (over three boxes), per box
Calves (under ten months old), per head
Cattle, per head
Chaff, per sack
Coal, per ton
Empties, return (in or out)
Flax, per bale
Furniture (outgoing)
Grain (all), per sack
General cargo, incoming or outgoing (with the exceptions
herein mentioned), per ton
Harrows (disc), each
Harrows (tine), each
Hides, each
Horses, per head
Lime and cement, per ton
Manure
Machinery (all other), per ton
Parcels (not exceeding 2 cubic feet), each
Parcels (over 2 and under 10 cubic feet), each
Parcels (over 10 cubic feet), per ton
Personal luggage up to ½ ton
Personal luggage over ½ ton
Pigs (dead or alive), per head
Ploughs (double-furrow), each
Ploughs (single-furrow), each
Potatoes, per sack
Poultry (dead or alive), per dozen
Rollers (Cambridge)
Sheep and lambs, per head
Skins, per dozen
Spirits and wine (all), per ton measurement
Tanks (empty), each
Timber, per 100 ft. superficial
Tow, per bale
Vehicles (two-wheeled), each

Minimum charge in all cases
The master of the vessel or the owner of the goods shall pay to
the Council all charges before goods are delivered.

Cancelling the Vesting of Part of a Reserve in the Featherston
County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of
November, 1944
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is part
of a reserve for ferry purposes and is vested in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Featherston County:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land
as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Featherston
County Council has duly consented to such cancellation;
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the
vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the
Featherston County of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Featherston County, containing by admeasurement 24 acres 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, being portion of
Section 9, Block IX, Haurangi Survey District. Bounded towards
the north by Lot 26 on D.P. 1942, being part Section 65, Turanganui
Block, towards the east by Lake Ferry Road and Lot 46 on
D.P. 12843, being part Section 9, Block IX, Haurangi Survey
District, towards the south by Lot 44 on D.P. 12843 aforesaid, and
towards the west by the shore of Lake Onoke, as defined in a plan
numbered 13336 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at
Wellington.
Also all that area containing 6 acres and 25.3 perches, more or
less, being portion of Section 9, Block IX, Haurangi Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by part Lot 11 on D.P. 1943, being
part Section 65, Turanganui Block, towards the east and south by
Lot 45 on D.P. 12843, being portion of Section 9, Block IX, Haurangi
Survey District, and towards the west by Lake Ferry Road.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 6/9/67c, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

seventeen of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales
Act, 1943, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
appoint
Leonard James Brake, Esquire, of Waipu, Farmer,
to be a member of the North Auckland Land Sales Committee in the
place of Hugh Clifford Fraser, Esquire, deceased.

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
include the Native freehold land described in the Schedule hereto in
the Native Reservation known as Kairau 2E No. 2, set apart for the
common use of the members of the Pukerangiora Tribe for the
purposes of a marae and meeting-place by Order in Council dated
the thirteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
forty, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-first day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at page 3449.
