THE Controller of Man-power doth hereby give notice that the Minister of Industrial Man-power has made the following amendments to declarations of essential undertakings as enumerated hereunder as from the dates indicated:—

Taking of Fish for Sale

H. W. Collins, Kaingaroa, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his fishing-vessel “Solveig,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Awanui.

M. J. Codyre, Plimmerton, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate also his 12 ft. fishing-boat “Betty” (not yet registered), using set-nets and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Plimmerton, and also for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to hawk his catches for sale at boat-side.

B. Galletta, 33 Rangi Street, Gisborne, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the fishing-vessel “Anahira,” GS.6, so as to permit him to use set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, in addition to crayfish-pots, for which it is at present licensed, catches to be landed at Gisborne.

M. Kerby, Sandes Street, Thames, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his launch “Kiwi” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Thames.

W. R. Autridge, Franklyn Street, Thames, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 12 ft. fishing-boat “Kity Kat” (not yet registered), using set-nets, catches to be landed at Thames.

Fish Retailing

J. M. Massey, Maungaturoto, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to sell wet and cooked fish from premises to be known as the Railway Fish Shop, Maungaturoto.

W. M. Pook, Kaipara, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to hawk fish for sale at Paparoa, Matakone, Awarua, and Marerepu.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

British Shoes, Ltd., Christchurch, for a transfer of their machine-room from British Shoes to Perry’s Warehouse in Lichfield Street.

Buchanan and Edwards (Branch of Felt and Textiles of N.Z., Ltd.), to transfer from their Lower Hutt Factory to Blenheim the following: (1) Men’s and women’s “Neilsons” slippers by the cemented process, (2) children’s footwear, sizes 3–8, by the cemented process, involving a cancellation of production of the same range and types at the Lower Hutt factory.

Industrial Clogs, Ltd., 57 Lincoln Road, Halswell, have applied for a license to manufacture clogs.

A. M. Jenkins, 110 Khyber Road, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture women’s and children’s shoes and sandals, sizes 2–7 and 5–2, with wedge, cuban, and leather heels by the machine-sewn process.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 7th December, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
