Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
R. Awatere, Ruatoria, has applied for a variation of his existing
license so as to permit him to operate also his 14 ft. launch (not yet
registered), using hand-lines, catches to be landed at Tuparoa.
Messrs. National Mortgage and Agency Co. of New Zealand,
Ltd., Dunedin, have applied for a variation of their existing license
so as to permit them also to operate the fishing-vessel "Rongapai," DN. 261, using trawl-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots,
catches to be landed at Port Chalmers.
E. J. Taylor, Mangere, Auckland, has applied for a variation of
his existing license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel
"Mistletoe," AK. 112, using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines,
catches to be landed at Onehunga instead of Auckland.
A. A. Stewart, P.O. Box 52, Russell, has applied for a license to
permit him to operate the fishing-launch "Bluebird," MGN. 139,
using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at
Russell.
B. J. Morris, Walmsley Road, Waihi, has applied for a license to
permit him to operate his 14 ft. outboard-motor boat (not yet
registered), using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots,
catches to be landed at Whangamata.
Fish Retailing
L. G. Trounson, Taieri Beach, Otago, has applied for a fish-
retailer's license to permit him to hawk fish for sale at Milburn,
Waihola, Henley, Taieri Plains, and Green Island.
L. A. Dike, Seddon Street, Waihi, has applied for a fish-retailer's
license to permit him to hawk fish for sale at boatside from his
fishing-vessel "Bluebird," TA. 513, at Waihi Beach and near
vicinity.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Hardwear Boot Factory, Ltd., Vincent Street, Auckland, have
applied for an extension of their existing license so as to permit them
to manufacture boys' and youths' boots and shoes, sizes 1 to 5.
W. H. Jackson, Dominion Road, Auckland, has applied for a
license to permit him to manufacture women's footwear of the
open-sandal type.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirits
L. P. K. Gooch has applied for permission to transfer his motor-
sprit retail license in respect of three petrol pumps installed at
service station and store premises situated at corner Sale and Stafford
Streets, Hokitika, and sales of motor-spirit otherwise than through
a pump from the same premises to a new site situated at Hampden
Street, Hokitika.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make
any desired representations in writing not later than the 30th
November, 1944, to G. L. O'Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry,
G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the North Auckland

Settlement Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable
Lease
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 ; and applications
will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday, 11th December, 1944.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday,
12th December, 1944, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board
or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined
documentary evidence of their financial position and farming
experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

This property is situated near the Lichfield School and com-
prises partly level land rising to an easy hill. Improvements,
valued at £25 and comprising 24 chains fencing (poor), 3 acres
clearing, ploughing, and grassing, and 1 acre cleared and ploughed,
are included in capital value.

ments : Half-yearly instalment (term, 34½ years), £15 5s. 6d.
Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £9 18s. 5d.
Weighted with £1,850 for improvements, comprising six-roomed
dwelling, wool-shed, cow-shed, sheds, sheep and cattle yards, 480
acres felled and grassed, 40 acres stumped, and 430 chains fencing.
This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £50,
the balance may be paid over a period of 36½ years by half-yearly
instalments of £54, principal and interest at 5 per cent. combined.
This is a grazing property situated on the Kopuha South Road,
eight miles from Ohura Post-office, School, Railway-station, and
Saleyards ; access is from Ohura by metalled road to within half
a mile of the house. Approximately 200 acres good quality papa
formation carrying fairly good pasture, 40 acres easy ploughable
land, while the balance is hilly country on sandstone formation with
about 110 acres in virgin bush ; watered by springs, creek, and river.
There is a little ragwort well under control. Subdivided into thirteen
paddocks.
