Land taken in the City of Invercargill for the Purpose of establishing Hotels and Suitable Places for the Sale and Supply of Refreshments, together with and subject to certain Rights

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Invercargill Licensing Trust Act, 1944, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of establishing hotels and suitable places for the sale and supply of refreshments, together with the party-wall rights created or reserved by Transfer Number 62817, Southland Registry, and subject as to part to the party-wall rights created by the said Transfer Number 62817, and that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of establishing hotels and suitable places for the sale and supply of refreshments, together with and subject as to part to the party-wall rights created by Transfer Number 30114, Southland Registry, and shall vest in the Invercargill Licensing Trust together with and subject to the said rights as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Approximate Area of the Piece of Land taken. Being Situated in Block Shown on Plan
A. R. P. 0 1 30·2 Part Sections 5 and 18 .. Town of Invercargill (City of Invercargill). I P.W.D. 119733.

In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked as above mentioned, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of November, 1944.
