Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
R. R. Cavaye, Kawau Island, Auckland, has applied for a license
to permit him to operate a 26 ft. 30 h.p. engined vessel (to be pur-
chased), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-
pots, catches to be landed at Auckland.
W. R. G. Clark, Whitianga, has applied for a variation of his
existing license in respect of the “Marlin,” AK. 60, so as to permit
him to operate the fishing-vessel “Norma,” AK. 138, using set-
nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at
Whitianga.
F. W. Potter, Waipu, has applied for a license to permit him
to operate his fishing-boat (not yet registered), using drag-nets,
long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Waipu, and also
for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to hawk his catches for
sale at boat-side and in Waipu Township.
Fish Retailing
C. H. Smith, Mangapehi, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license
to permit him to sell wet fish from shop premises situated in
Mangapehi.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Felt and Textiles of New Zealand, Ltd., have applied for an
extension of their existing license so as to permit them to machine
footwear uppers at their factory situated at Hamilton.
Pharmacy Industry
United Friendly Societies’ Dispensary, Dunedin, have applied
for a license to open a new pharmacy in Roslyn near the junction
of Farley Street and Taieri Road.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should
make any desired representations in writing not later than the 23rd
November, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry,
G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
