The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 32
IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 32.

This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

The principal Order is varied as follows, namely: The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of the Otago and Southland Lime Workers’ award dated the 10th day of March, 1942, and recorded in 42 Book of Awards 146.

This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 20th day of October, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, do hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and I hereby specify the 1st day of December, 1944, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing two hundred and ninety-two (292) acres two (2) roods twenty-two (22) perches, more or less, being Section 1, Marawiti Settlement, situated in Block II, Corwar Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 467, folio 196 (Canterbury Registry).
As witness my hand, this 7th day of November, 1944.
