Price Order No. 287 (Amending Price Order No. 146) (Carrots, Parsnips, Swedes, Cabbages)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 287, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 146† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 3rd day of November, 1944.
  3. The Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by revoking the several maximum prices fixed for spring cabbages and pointed varieties of cabbages sold during the month of November, and substituting therefor the several maximum prices fixed in the Schedule to this Order.

SCHEDULE
MAXIMUM WHOLESALE AND RETAIL PRICES OF SPRING CABBAGES AND POINTED VARIETIES OF CABBAGES WHEN SOLD IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

When sold in the North Island or in the Nelson or Marlborough Provincial District. When sold elsewhere in New Zealand.

Prohibition of the Sale of Declared Goods under Clause 9 (2) of the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 3
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by clause 9 (2) of the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 3,* the Price Tribunal hereby prohibits the sale by any person whomsoever, on and after the 30th day of November, 1944, of any goods of a kind or class specified in the Schedule hereto, being goods that have been declared under the Declared Goods (Control of Prices) Notice 1944, No. 4†.
The prohibition of the sale by any person of any goods in accordance with this notice shall cease to have effect with respect to such goods—
(a) If and when a Price Order issued by the Tribunal comes into force with respect to those goods; or
(b) If and when the Tribunal by approval or authority given or applicable to the person concerned approves or authorizes a specified selling-price or a maximum selling-price for such goods.

SCHEDULE
CLASSES OF GOODS THE SALE OF WHICH IS PROHIBITED BY THIS NOTICE

  1. Hearing-aid sets and parts thereof.
  2. Leather.
  3. Knitting-yarns of all kinds and classes.
