The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice
declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman.

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of
the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the
land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged
serviceman;
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition
of the land, did on the 13th day of October, 1944, make an order
determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the
said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act
or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, I, Clarence Farringdon Skinner, Minister of
Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, do hereby
declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged
serviceman, and I hereby specify the 21st day of November, 1944,
as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested
in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
CANTEBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in Block III, Rangitata Survey
District, containing five hundred and fifty-nine (559) acres three (3)
roods twenty-eight (28) perches, more or less, being Lots Eighty-
six (86), Eighty-six A (86A), and Eighty-seven (87), of Reserve
No. 350, and being the whole of the lands comprised in certificates
of title, Vol. 142, folios 209 and 210, and Vol. 232, folio 290
(Canterbury Registry).
As witness my hand, this 1st day of November, 1944.

ALL that parcel of land containing six hundred and thirty-two
(632) acres one (1) rood and sixteen (16) perches, more or less,
situated in Kapunatiki Survey District, being Rural Sections 23257,
25275, 25581, 26011, 23182, 23307, 20667, and 23181, and being all
the land described in certificates of title, Vol. 42, folios 19 and 295,
Vol. 44, folio 99, Vol. 106, folio 214, and Vol. 204, folio 55 (Canterbury
Registry).
As witness my hand, this 1st day of November, 1944.

The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.-Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the Armed Forces, to report
I, ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose of the
above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice, pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations, that the
men whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up in accordance with
the said regulation for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and places shown in the said Schedule.
